Status of supporting Flash animations
I found such a description of swfdec package in Packman repository:
> Libswfdec is a library for rendering Flash animations.
> Currently it handles mostFlash 3 animations and some Flash 4. No interactivity is supported yet.
Which I belive is very not up to date. As far as I know, Swfdec 0.5.5
comes with fully supported interactivirty, doesn'...

Shorewall and SuSE 9.3
The basic functionality of Shorewall 2.2.2 works fine with the
soon-to-be-released SuSE 9.3 (I have an early copy). I''ll be trying it
over the weekend with more complex configurations involving IPSEC and
OpenVPN.

Is this normal that fps value is so low? Audio works fine but it's
impossible to watch anything with 1fps. Or... maybe I am just doing
something wrong?
Ah, my swfdec version is 0.5.4 from Packman for openSUSE 10.3.

[LLVMdev] Which linux distribution required the least effort to install LLVM 2.3?
Hi!
I'm a new LLVM user.
I want to start using the LLVM System v2.3. However, I don't want to spend
all my time hunting, pecking, downgrading, and/or upgrading packages to get
LLVM v2.3 running. I was wondering which Linux distrubutions(FC7, Ubuntu,
NetBSD, etc) have required the least effort out of the box to start running
LLVM v2.3.

ANNOUNCE: x11-ssh-askpass v1.0.1
...g for use with OpenSSH
(www.openssh.com) under the X Window System.
The important changes since version 1.0 are as follows:
- Bugfixes:
- If the keyboard or pointer grab failed, the fprintf() call
explaining why was missing the argument containing the reason.
Thanks to Daniel Packman <pack at mop2.eos.ucar.edu>.
- Portability fixes to Imakefile. Thanks to Charles Levert
<charles at comm.polymtl.ca>.
- Invoking x11-ssh-askpass with a single X11 toolkit argument on
the command line would cause the program to crash. Fixed.
- Now includes a ma...

amr
Just noticed that packman has precompiled versions of amr codec.
Both wideband and narrowband. Can these be used for asterisk?
Heard some nice about AMR (in general)
If so, any one around with experience with either??

AMR Codec
Has anyone successfully compiled the AMR codec into an Asterisk install, and
if so, what steps did you take?

Multimedia on Centos 5
Dear friends:
Is there a single source for the multimedia applications that are not included
with Centos 5: RealPlayer, Mplayer, mplayerplug-in, Acrobat Reader, Java,
libdvdcss, etc.?
Would appreciate your help.
Thank you so much.

Asterisk on OpenSuSE 10.2
I am new at this. I have read "Asterisk: The Future of Telephony" and have installed AsteriskNOW (beta 4, due to the dual processor problem in beta 5). The GUI interface does not seem to provide the capability that I need, although I have modified the *.conf files to successfully create what I need. Given this, I would like to install Asterisk on a distro. I am most familiar with

HP laptops with CentOS 7?
Hello all,
I'm looking into getting HP laptops for our department running CentOS 7.
Last time I checked this was some five or so years ago, and when I look at
https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops, nothing much seems to have happened
since.
At that time, I had to give up CentOS on laptops, as both Wi-Fi and graphics
wasn't too well supported with CentOS 5 and 6.
Is the situation better
