i am looking at using btrfs for a new project and i have a few questions:

[Bridge] Building a Raw Bridge
I'm having trouble figuring out how to make a bridge that does not block
forwarding of packets when there is no receive channel in the same
bridge. The reason I want to do this is that the return path is via
another circuit. The two directions are on two different radios. I would
think this would be like the response given to someone in July 2007

fatal signal 11
I downloaded the latest wine from the cvs site and ran its
./tools/wineinstall. It ran for quite a while and croaked on
/wine/server/semaphore.c. Basically, gcc says "Internal compiler error:
program cc1 bog fatal signal 11". The compiler is 2.91.66 (aka egcs-1.1.2
release) and compiles other programs including 2.4.1 & 2.4.2 Linux kernels
just fine. I am puzzled what 'fatal

Can Not Get UPS to Turn Off After System Shutdown
I just installed NUT on a new Linux (Gentoo) system. Most things work,
(notification after 10 seconds on battery, notification and system
shutdown after 100 seconds on battery.) However I can't seem to get the
UPS (an Eaton 5SC1500) to turn itself off after the Gentoo system shutdown.
This is the shutdown command I am using in /etc/nut/upsmon.conf:
SHUTDOWNCMD "/usr/sbin/upsdrvctl

Rails not properly handling Oracle db connections/sesions in dev mode
We are running edge rails with oracle. After a few hundred requests
all available sesions are used up. It seems prior connections are
being left open. When this happens no one using the installation of
Oracle can create a new session until you kill your mongrel/webrick
server.
Patch #6928 addresses this problem, and i applied it to my vendor rails
and it worked.
I think, if possible, this

related to portability and geography between landline carriers. Presently
certain people within the organization are hopelessly in love with our

provisioned it rings to a location geographically within 909-822 and
forwards all calls to another number 909-944-xxxx (Verizon) Because of this

Custom kernel needed for ndiswrapper? (for Linksys WPC54G wireless pcmcia)
Greetings:
I'm just installed Centos-4 on an IBM T-21 laptop. So far so good. Now
I'd like to pop in a wireless lan adapter. I'm looking at a buying a
Linksys WPC54G adapter (although I haven't done so yet).
After doing some searching, it looks like the best way to get this card
working is via ndiswrapper [http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net] and then
to use Windoze

[Bridge] LAN-WAN Bridging Problem
Hello,
I am experiencing what may be a unique problem with operating the
bridge. My hardware is custom Freescale MPC875 processor based with one
ethernet (eth0) and one hdlc (hdlc0) WAN port and I am connecting two of
these boards together using the WAN ports over a long distance -
essentially two bridges in series. They are running Linux 2.6.15 with
bridging enabled in the kernel
