Interactive PXE install
I've got a system (Supermicro P8SCT) that lacks a floppy or CD and it's old enough that it won't boot from a USB stick. Before I scrounge an optical drive to plug in, I thought perhaps I could install over the network, as I see "legacy LAN boot" in the BIOS menu. The guides for a LAN install I've found all w...

Stability and motherboard questions with TE406P and TE410P
...gurations but am unsure what the proper way to configure that is. Is my current setup correct? Both span one and span three have timing on the line from the carrier. Rundown of issues seen with these cards: TE410P: - zttest will never report 100% for me across different motherboards (Supermicro P8SCT, Dell 850) - Crash/instability of about once per two weeks where I have to power cycle the server, i.e. phone calls stop working and a reboot fixes it TE406P: - zttest runs flawlessly on this card, 100% across the board - PRIs will go from up and working fine, to "Provisioned, Down, Active&q...

What do you think about this motherboard?
Hello all..... I would like to know if anyone here has had good experience with this Supermicro motherboard.....http://supermicro.com/products/motherboard/P4/E7221/P8SCT.cfm I am thinking about using it in an entry level mail and file server with a 3ware card and 200 GB SATA drives. Cost is a factor here otherwise I would go for an Opteron board instead. JC

Problems with TE205P
...has not helped. They had me check patlooptest, which failed miserably (literally thousands of varying comparison errors per second). Now I've received a replacement card that does the exact same thing. I've tested in 4 different boxes with the same results. The primary has a Supermicro P8SCT motherboard with 3.4 GHz P4, 2GB RAM and SCSI drives on Linux md RAID1. Removing the SCSI controller and using a UDMA IDE drive didn't help. Other systems I tried were all IDE and either PIII or P4. Same exact problems. Maybe I just have bad luck with these cards, but I'd greatly apprec...

TE210P mother board
Hi all, I'm going to configure a middle asterisk installation. I'll use a TE210P to connect a T1 channel bank and a PRI E1 line. I'm thinking on using a SuperMicro P8SCT Mother Board that has a 1x 64-bit 133MHz PCI-X 3.3V. In TE210P documentation I've read: The TE210P is a 32-bit 33MHz card keyed for 3.3 volt operation. Can SuperMicro slot (that is a 133Mhz slot) be used for TE210P card ? Does anybody have used this board with asterisk ? Has it any kn...

HDLC error
Can anyone help and point me in a useful direction. I'm using * 1.2.4 with Zaptel 1.2.4. I have a TE110P card and it's a Supermicro P8SCT mobo. If I run the PRI card in the PCI-X slot it shares an interupt with eth0 but I don't get problems. I've been trying to move it onto it's own IRQ, by moving the card to a regular PCI slot but I now get the errors Mar 2 08:43:09 NOTICE[6272]: chan_zap.c:8203 pri_dchannel: PRI got...

RE: Stable Hardware Combination Experiences
I have had a tough time finding a good stable combination of motherboard with either a TE410P or TE406P and would like to solicit input for suggestions. Currently, we are utilizing the Supermicro P8SCT. I have disabled the onboard NIC cards and I am currently using a separate 3COM PCI card. I have tried both cards in this board with mixed results. This is the third motherboard we have used and each has had issues. I would prefer to stay with an LGA775 based board so I don't have to buy any mo...

Motherboard Selection For TE110P & TDM400P
...ling or echo? Noticed any differences when the system is under high load? Perhaps even you've gone so far as to run 'patlooptest' with a T1 loopback cable connected; care to share your results? Just for reference, motherboard's we've had issues with: - Abit IC7-G - Supermicro P8SCT Thanks. -- Joshua West Linux Infrastructure Engineer Boston Engineering Corporation http://www.boston-engineering.com

Will Digium Wildard work with PCI-Xor PCI Express
I had trouble with a TE110P card in a Supermicro mobo - P8SCT. The PRI line kept dropping calls when the card was in a standard PCI slot. In the end the only way to fix it was to install the card in the PCI-X slot. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Matt Rot...

any opinions on debian vs. opensuse for Xen?
Hi Folks, I''ve been getting just a little fed up with the state of Xen on Debian Lenny - there are a couple of known bugs that lead to periodic kernel panics - but fixes haven''t made it into the Lenny distribution. I''m sort of waiting to see how things shake out with Debian Squeeze, when it becomes stable, but... I''ve been noticing that Suse (both the
