Arguments for Rcmd BATCH
...s preceded by 2 - characters, but my Outlook is munging them together here) The script then accesses (or tries to) the variables as parms[1], parms[2], etc. I get the respose "unable to open input file" at the command line and no other diagnostic output. I got this syntax from p85 of the R-Intro doc and from the website http://quantitative-ecology.blogspot.com/search/label/scripts. I could not find any other illustrations or instructions of how to use args with BATCH. Without using any parameter args it otherwise runs fine. Please can you advise what am I doing wrong...

Samba on a small network- 3 Machines.
...test network - 3 Machines. I have read all your example setup files for Samba, config, lmhosts, hosts, resolve, etc., and have read back to back "Linux - Samba Server Administration" by Roderick W. Smith (Craig Hunt Linux Library) My test network (10-100 ethernet) consists of a Ascend p85 router using internal DNS, DHCP, NAT, etc with a 128k ISDN connection to the internet. In the router exists a DNS table for the machines and DHCP table that assigns addresses by MAC address. Each machine gets the same address every time they setup. All machines see each other. The NET is: I ha...

syslinux.efi problem TFTPing ldlinux.e64 on hyper-v gen2 netboot
I've found a problem, and I think it is in syslinux (specifically when it tries to load ldlinux.e64 under hyper-V). I have a physical computer with a Gigabyte GA-P85-D3 motherboard that successfully pxeboots using the EFI images, and I hold that up as exhibit 1 that my deployment environment works. It also implies that the syslinux.efi image works in some cases, but not in all. My Hyper-V (manager) version identifies itself as 6.3.9600.16384 running on Window...

Better cleanup of example session during check
I have a couple of packages (?fiery? and ?reqres') that uses a mock of a rook request for their examples. The mock is an R6 object containing a rawConnection, along with a finalizer that closes this connection when the object is removed. So far so good. I?ve recently been getting CRAN errors due to the rawConnection not being closed in examples > cleanEx() Error: connections left open:
