fastthread no longer needed?
I''m confused. Wasn''t threading fixed in 1.8.6, negating the need for
fastthread? Why is fastthread still a requirement of Mongrel? Just
curious. :)

...matrix B of unconstrained splines, then postmultiplying B by
H, a K+4 by K+2 representation of the nullspace of C (2 by K+4), which
contains the 2nd derivatives of the unconstrained splines evaluated at
the boundary knots. E.g. see Hastie and Tibshirani, Generalized Additive
Models, exercise 2.5, p36. The QR decomposition is used to get H.
This can produce basis functions which, while technically correct (they
span the K+2 dim space of natural splines), can be counterintuitive.
E.g. equally spaced knots symmetrically placed between the data extremes
can produce very asymmetric arrangements, w...

...appear to be working for Voltronic Power,
I'd like to take the chance to ask if it's possible for you to release
(and give us permission to redistribuite) the protocols adopted by
your various devices (present and past): we have already done some
work [4] and support for P15/P16/P30/P34/P35/P36 protocols is under
way, too.. but we still lack some information and, obviously, knowing
the protocols in full directly from the manufacturer would be a lot
better (not to mention the huge amount of time I would save in reverse
engineering...).

You Will All Die In 1 Week (Mongrel To Require 1.8.6)
Hopefully that gets everyone''s attention.
Evan Weaver has whined enough to make me do a release to change the requirements on the Mongrel gem so that it doesn''t need the cgi_multipart_eof_fix anymore.
***************************
THIS ALSO MEANS THAT MONGREL WILL HAVE TO REQUIRE RUBY 1.8.6 OR GREATER! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Question about WxNotebook, threads, and GUI refreshing
I''m running into a problem I''ve had before with wxRuby where the GUI
does not update while my App is processing some set of data. The fix for
this I know is to put the data processing piece in a new thread and in
the Wx::App code make a timer to pass the threads. This has always
worked in the past, but now my problem is slightly more complex and I''m
at a loss.

mongrel_rails service on windows incompatible with recent ruby builds?
...rom a massive memory leak in my application. after
searching and testing for quite a while i finally found that it wasn''t
my app that had a leak but the win32ole support that was used by the
ADO driver in sqlserver adapter.
the solution to fix the leak was to install ruby 1.8.5p52 or 1.8.6p36
but sadly as soon i install one of the fixed releases mongrel won''t
start as service anymore.
the latest version i was able to run as a service is 1.8.5p35 but that
doesn''t have the leak fixed.
"mongrel_rails start" will run the app in dev or production mode on
the co...

deployment survey
Hello Mongrels,
Building on the last messages about Fastthread, can we get a detailed
survey of the different ways people are deploying their applications?
It will help with near-future Mongrel development.
Please include the following things:
* Framework, if any (Camping, Merb, Rails, Nitro, Ramaze, IOWA, Rack...)
* Mongrel version
* Mongrel handlers used (rails, dirhandler, camping,
