biosdevname
Hello,
Anybody else run into problems with biosdevname .0.5..0-2 changing names
from p2p1 to em1 when upgrading from biosdevname 0.4.1-3?
Darn!
I thought biosdevname was to keep the names the same!!

Trying to plan for new multi-isp setup
...e 4 ports on it (currently configured for local, dmz,
and net) and was planning on using the 4th for the new provider. It will be
part of a /30 subnet connecting to our ISP. We also have a /27 subnet for
public IPs.
So my thought is something like:

Forwarding incoming connections from an secondary external interface with dhcp
Hi everyone,
I have a server (ubuntu 14.04 lts) running KVM with a few guests (each
with static IP addresses) which I manage using libvirt. This machine
has a wired interface (br0 / p2p1) connecting to my internal network and
a wireless interface using dhcp (ppp0) as a secondary direct connection
to the internet.
My goal is route all administration traffic for both the host and guests
through the wired interface (br0); while routing the service traffic,
and _only_ this traffic...

A question on networking (CentOS 6)
I will get back to the mailing list.?? But to answer your questions, yes the IP addresses and interface names are as expected (as before) with the new MAC/HW addresses.? I have someone else looking into it because when we plugged in the cable the light on the card did not light up.?? when we connect the pair server to another separate server it did.? Once the server is back up I will try these

A question on networking (CentOS 6)
...king.?The light is still out, so it could be the HW.
I ran those commands (ip addr show, ip route show) on the 2 servers.? The output is identical except for the IP addresses and the MAC addresses, except on the server with the new card, it is missing the following IPV6 info for the interface name p2p1 which is the interface in question.
inet6 fe80::6a05:caff:fe06:9122/64 scope link
?????? valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
Somehow I doubt we are using IPV6 but does it need to be there for some reason?? .... and if so , what do I do about it.
I apologize if these questions make no sense.? O...
