mksmbpasswd.sh does not create accounts with the X flag in the password flags field. Does this X matter, and if so, what does it mean? Hi All, Perhaps you guys can help me shed some light on this 'problem' I'm facing. I recently added another NIC to my samba server. eth0(10.0.0.251) and eth1(valid dhcp address) ETH0 was added to connect to another PC that acts as the backup server. (dedicated connection) Now, Samba won't come back up.. I can still ssh into the server and all. Any ideas? I know that the wins needs up to 45mins for the announcement to work.. but even using ip address on windows (as in start->run->\\eth1-ip-add) does not work.
