preexec, logging, and my problem
okay so after trying a bit to understand how all of this works i think i
need a bit more support.
thanks to joel, my problem where users can log on multiple times looks like
it has a solution.
to prevent this, he outlined a process by which one can monitor the process
IDs of samba users, then user smbstatus grep for that user, find the
process id, and then do whatever i want with them.

roaming profiles ok, but what about the printers?
Hi there,
We have a little intranetwork with Samba 3.0.x as PDC. There are 20
Win2k-clients in several rooms and 18 users roaming from one machine to

NeXT 3.3 vs openssh-2.5.1p1 (Couldn't restore privileges)
Wanted to make openssh w/both -lwrap and BIND 8.2.3's -lbind on an m68k NeXT
3.3. Started w/then current openssh-2.3.0p1. Had to use -posix for
compiler and loader to get -lbind to work, and had to throw out all openssh
NeXT porting to get -posix to work. By the time I had it all working and
installed, a security mailing list said there was a new openssh version
released.

runs on a cheapy mATX motherboard(ECS 741GX-M) with socket A 2800+ CPU
and 2Gbyte DDR. The OS and data are on a 300Gbyte PATA maxtor drive
and data backups are run weekly to another PATA drive. The server is
overwelmed and data backups take over 5 hours to complete. I have a
Tyan(K8E) server board now that is socket 939 with SATA support.
Maxtor makes a utillity that will copy there drives so I bought a
second identical PATA drive and plan on copying it so if I screw
something up it will be a backup copy and no...
