Thanks, fixed.

Overly long email of miscellaneous Dovecot migration questions
...9;ve even seen some really scary ones approaching 100k
emails just in cur/. Thanks to an endless cycle of industry raising
mailbox limits, we actually have to support this (though not so much
the 100k message ones, at least).
* Our #1 main motivation for looking Dovecot is relief for our
currently overtaxed NFS servers, mostly in the form of the index
files. Benchmarking dovecot looks great, even with the index files in
the maildir. I know the cool thing to do would be to move the index
files to a separate NFS server running entirely on SSDs for the
fastest accesses possible. Building a separate ind...

Really Big Queues
Hi,
How do you folks handle really large queues (350+ simultaneous
callers) in your Asterisk PBXes?
We're going to be bringing in around 16 PRIs' worth of inbound
callers, doing skills-based routing, and queuing them up for
approximately 200 agents.
What's the best way to handle all of these callers? We want to record
the calls and we'll probably use the ramdisk method that has

Question: Do all puppetd run at the same time?
...check at the same time? Or
does it depend when puppetd is started or like a cronjob does it run
at the 1/2 hour and hour mark? Is there some randomness to the times
they run?
My point is if they all run at the same time then if you have a large
amount of puppetd running the puppetmaster will get overtaxed during
those peek times.
Even if they do not all run at the same time can a randomness feature
be introduced (ie have an option to allow -+ seconds from the normal
internal?) for each puppetd?

FreeBSD 10 & default_vsz_limit causing reboots?
...nday morning reboot, I started to wonder if there was some
sort of process issue.? Besides the OS upgrades - I had been monitoring
the Dovecot logs for when the process limits are reached, and increasing
them.? It's a 'big' box, and load is typically between .30 and .50. CPUs
aren't overtaxed, and most of the memory is dedicated to ZFS.? The reboots
are so short, I've only received one 'down' alert due to them. So it's a
conerning issue, but not really impacting production.
On a whim I changed my default_vsz_limit (as I had been increasing every
other limit but that)...

[ADV] "Mongrel: Serving, Deploying, and Extending Your Ruby Applications" BOOK
Time for some all time pimpage folks.
Me and Matt Pelletier wrote a small PDF book on Mongrel entitled: "Mongrel: Serving, Deploying, and Extending Your Ruby Applications" since we really wanted you to know what it was about. It''s published by Addison Wesley Professional, has just over 100 pages of goodness, and is available for $14.99 at:
