2.6.31 xenified kernel - not ready for production
Hi, I just want to know if somebody use 2.6.31.4 xenified kernel (aka OpenSUSE) in production? We have been testing it on new Nehalem Xeon server for few weeks w/o any problem. But as soon we tried it on production machine - after several production domUs started - hard OS failure. We had to switch back to 2.6.18.8 - xen stock kernel. Samba46 Listen queue overflow in FreeBSD 11.1
...computers at the same time and trigger new SMB connections to the servers (probably due to links pointing to shared folders or something - talk about DOS attacks.. :-). With the default listen() backlog limits we saw that the internal connections between the smbd and winbindd processes sometimes overran the queue and then things started behaving really badly. We’ve also seen some other things that cause problems - like the gencache.tdb file growing without bounds. When it have somewhere around like 500,000 records things slow down quite a bit too. So we restart our smbd servers every morning a...

latest pv_ops dom0 (2.6.29-rc6) crashes / unhandled page fault
Hello. log of the crashing boot process: http://pasik.reaktio.net/xen/pv_ops-dom0-debug/pv_ops-dom0-bootlog-14-xen331-linux-2.6.29-rc6-crash.txt 2.6.29-rc5 based pv_ops dom0 works on the same computer.. with the same Xen version. I tried with and without pci=nomsi. adding ''noapic'' doesn''t seem to help (I need that with 2.6.29-rc5 to make it work). Any ideas

Samba46 Listen queue overflow in FreeBSD 11.1
Hello everyone, We are trying to track down some samba issues and wondering there are some settings we can tweak. We have a new Supermicro server running the following with 192GB of RAM, 32 active CPUs and 54TB of usable zfs mirrors (raid10). uname -a FreeBSD hostname 11.1-RELEASE-p4 FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p4 #0: Tue Nov 14 06:12:40 UTC 2017 root at

Cannot boot Dom0: Thread overran stack, or stack corrupted
Hi All, I am trying to get the pv_ops Xen dom0 kernel working with Xen 3.4 but with no success. I have been at this for 2 weeks now with different problems. Initially I could not get dom0 to boot when using LVM, so I reinstalled and didn''t use LVM. Now I am getting stack overran or currupted errors. Here is the boot log; From <IRQ 0> to the last line keeps on repeating until I power-off the machine.
