Runtime root directory
I'm considering modifying the Dovecot source to support a runtime
designation for the root directory instead of relying on the prefix
provided via configure. Once complete, it would be possible to move the
root directory around somewhat ad-hoc after installation without having to
rebuild the source. The primary driver for this is that I'd like to wrap a
binary build of Dovecot within an

file only storing with ices 2 ?
Hi !
my question is how to totally switch off the Ices2
logging into the Icecast server ?
I wan't to use ices only to save archives (24h/d),
without any streaming, but when I try start Ices, see:
[2005-01-19 17:27:05] EROR stream/ices_instance_stream
Failed initial connect to localhost:8000 (Couldn't
connect: Connection refused)
and Ices clears buffers etc. and shuts itself down :-(

[URGENT] Assistance Requested in Looking for Dr Francis T. Seow, Harvard Law School Research Fellow
Hi,
First, I would like to apologize for the out-of-topic post. I will keep
this as short as I possibly could.
Does anybody know Dr. Francis T. Seow, the former Solicitor-General from
the Republic of Singapore? I want to contact him but can't seem to find
his email address or telephone number on the internet. Could you help me?
Do you also know how I can contact all the justices of the

WinXP registry problems on SMB PDC
Hi all,
I recently moved off of an ancient NT4 PDC to a SMB PDC running Samba
3.0.4-1 on a RH9 box. I had absolutely no troubles joining the domain, and
other than a few login quirks every now and again, it is stable.
I am, however, experiencing what I believe to be a permissions issue with
the user profiles... my own, included. I am unable to make registry changes,
most notably with

Looking for sponsors for future Icecast development
Good evening,
in order to speed up Icecast development we[0] are currently looking for
sponsors allowing us to provide more workforce to the Icecast project.
We provide commercial Icecast support. Part of this is sponsored work
with clients wanting to help the community by sponsorship. This helps
our clients by having their problem fixed with priority and the
community benefits also.

apply.pp module missing?
Hello,
I have succesfully installed puppet on ubunu, one master and one
client.
I am going through the documentation and I am having a hard time

$ puppet apply my_test_manifest.pp
I get this error
root@puppet:/etc/puppet/manifests# pwd
/etc/puppet/manifests

Login processes in Dovecot
I will be deploying Dovecot on OS X shortly. I am looking for
clarification on the limits imposed by OS X and sysctl
[kern.maxproc]. I understand that it is defaulting to 532, but can be
raised to 2500. I believe the OS uses around 100 or so, plus I will
have other processes and shells at times.
Does Dovecot use one process per user logged in? I find Apple Mail
uses about 4 IMAP

A secure macro
It’s like static but well optimized. Any ideas how I can implement it universally? I thought about a secure application to help with compiling and security. It’s like sudo but more secure and can chain. I don’t know much about pipes and streams, but I’m pretty sure I can write it into llvm with enough time and help.
Another thing, and I got trolled off gcc’s mailing list for this,

Best practices?
Suppose I start building nodes with (say) 24 drives each in them.
Would the standard/recommended approach be to make each drive its own
filesystem, and export 24 separate bricks, server1:/data1 ..
server1:/data24 ? Making a distributed replicated volume between this and
another server would then have to list all 48 drives individually.
At the other extreme, I could put all 24 drives into some
