I'm considering modifying the Dovecot source to support a runtime designation for the root directory instead of relying on the prefix provided via configure. Hi ! my question is how to totally switch off the Ices2 logging into the Icecast server ? I wan't to use ices only to save archives (24h/d), without any streaming, but when I try start Ices, see: [2005-01-19 17:27:05] EROR stream/ices_instance_stream Failed initial connect to localhost:8000 (Couldn't connect: Connection refused) and Ices clears buffers etc. and shuts itself down :-(

I will be deploying Dovecot on OS X shortly. I am looking for clarification on the limits imposed by OS X and sysctl [kern.maxproc]. I understand that it is defaulting to 532, but can be raised to 2500. I believe the OS uses around 100 or so, plus I will have other processes and shells at times.
