R documentation, how to force Rcmd Rd2pdf to automatically break an overfull line in examples R-like section?
Hi all,
My package passed Rcmd check successfully. but
in constructed PDF format of R documentation, within the examples
section, half of the line (R code) is out of the paper. I also found
another CRAN submitted package, ftsa , that suffer from overfulling in a line too, see ftsa Reference manual.
I guess this
problem roots in the behavior of the verbatim environment in Latex. However there are some Latex packages to deal with this, http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/14342/verbatim-environment-that-can-break-too-long-lines, but I do not know how...

Hi all
I am trying to build an R package, which I have successfully done many times before, but have an error I cannot trace. I hope someone can help me.
Here's is some edited output (full output below if it is useful):

Package pdf problems
I am checking a package with R CMD check and everything is fine until
the pdf portion of the checking process and the errors documented at
the end of this message happen. I have looked at the pdf that is
created and the typesetting is not perfect, but it is acceptable
(readable). I am no good at latex (something I plan to remedy in the
next large paper I have to write), so is this acceptable for

Dear R?ers
I?m trying to get a summary table using latex and summary in the rms package to no avail. I?m running R 2.10.1, Mac OS X snow leopard and I have the mactex 2009 distribution installed. Any obvious things I?m missing?

Problems with make pdf (R-patched_2002-07-15.tar.gz)
After configure, make and make check on
a linux Suse 7.3 box, I run
make dvi and make info with no problems but get
a lot of garbage to my screen during make pdf.
Is this normal? Is there a bug in this part
of the installation?
This is part of what I get on the screen:

Implicit storage tiering w/ ZFS
I''m curious if there has been any discussion of or work done toward implementing storage classing within zpools (this would be similar to the storage foundation QoSS feature).
I''ve searched the forum and inspected the documentation looking for a means to do this, and haven''t found anything, so pardon the post if this is redundant/superfluous.
I would imagine this would

newbie questions: accessing functions globally
How can I access a function created in one data directory in another? I
have been sourcing the text file that contains the function each time I go
to another data dir. This is cumbersome, and I suspect there is a way to
make functions global.
Thanks in advance,

I'm having trouble reproducing this one. In my fresh CentOS 7 VM, I can
pull the pkgKitten source down, and run R CMD Rd2pdf

I'm rying to 'turn' an Schunk in an .Rnw file(Xemacs-21.4.13, ESS-5.2.8,

Has anyone got the isorot package to work with Sweave?
