[LLVMdev] Planned service outtages
Hi LLVMers!
Due to events beyond our control, the LLVM website and all associated
functionality, possibly extending to the mailing list, will not be
available for a (hopefully) very short time this Monday, December 22nd,
as our building switches its electrical power suppliers.
Furthermore, as our servers are being relocated to a new shiny facility,
you may notice about a day of downtime on

wctdm and two tdm cards
...One person on IRC mentioned he's seen this before, but didn't have any
solutions.
Does anyone here know what might be the problem? or have a fix/work
around? I know I shouldnt be rebooting servers, but I have to make sure
it works upon reboot as it is going to be installed in a power-outtage
happy part of the world :)
TIA,
Matts

[Bridge] Bridge Performance 2
Hi there,
I was asking this question already a few days go, but I'm not sure whether anyone noticed due to the mailserver outtage. So I'm just re-posting it, sorry, but it's an important issue for me, I would be glad to hear some insight on this.
The question is regarding throughput performance using linux 2.4.5.1. My setup is very simple : I have two laptops with a wireless card. On each laptop I configure the wi...

"valid userse = @anyGroup" breaks samba
...pointers are as always much appreciated.
That said, I have now narrowed down (and solved, sort of) the problem with the
mysterious "freeze effect"[1] I've been posting about. To put it in short
terms:
X = original smb.conf that's worked fine for a long time up until a power
outtage efter which we started having the "freeze" problems
Y = X, except all occurrences of "valid users = ..." commented out.
Y works, X does not. That is, when I switch to Y and restart samba, I can no
longer reproduce the freeze effect.
The long story is that as part of debugging...

IAX Provider Recommendation - Unlimited
I am shopping around for an IAX provider that provides both outbound minutes
and an inbound DID for a flat fee. I have been looking at TELIAX.
http://teliax.com/
Does anyone have any experience with them? What codecs do they support?
Inband or 2833 dtmf? Voice quality and reliability?
Any comments and/or other recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

MGE Ellipse 500 USB power failure problem
...UPS was serving the two
PCs (the server and the client) for 30 secs and then it went off,
cutting off the two machines unexpectedly. There weren't any messages in
syslog (all events are logged my upsmon) neither on the server side nor on
the client's side.
Today, I tried to reproduce this outtage to figure out what happens.
- Plugging off the UPS for ~5 secs, there were syslog messages about going
on battery and going back online.
- Plugging off the UPS in order for the server to force a clean shutdown,
the UPS works for about 30 secs and the cuts off the two machines like
the incid...

Hello,
I have had SAMBA 2.2 working on Mandrake 8.0 for several weeks not, but we =
had a power outtage over the weekend and I can't get the SMBD running. =
NMBD will start fine. Here is a copy of the error from the logs.
Can somebody point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Dave

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down...
http://weblog.infoworld.com/yager/archives/2007/10/suns_zfs_is_clo.html
Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows
solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing
comment:
"If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually
become ubiquitously implemented
