[LLVMdev] [Patch] Adding unit tests to LLVM
...the BSD license, which is compatible with LLVM (though I am not a copyright lawyer). > For example gtest is very light weight test kit, that can do the job, but > will the tests outgrow what the test kit can do, and cause a conversion to a > more advanced one later? > As soon as LLVM outgrows what GTest can do, we can easily write wrapper macros to forward from GTest-style macros to the other, more suitable framework; however, I think you're conflating the two concepts of "light-weight" and "trivial" -- GTest is light-weight, but not trivial. What Amazon EC2 AMI do you recommend?
I''m looking at using EC2 for hosting deploying my Rails site. The reasons for the decision are these: I want something that will work for 10 users, but with capacity to expand to 10,000,000 if needed. EC2 starts at $15/month (before bandwidth) which seems reasonable even for a site in its infancy. And the costs seem to scale up well, along with the capacity. There isn''t the

Where did my DID's go??
Okay, first a little background - I've been with Packet8 since a month after they started. I found that we were outgrowing their services and decided to move to an asterisk box in the office. I found a service provider that offered me a reasonable rate. After a fair ammount of testing I decided to stick with their services and port my 3 primary DID's from Packet8 to the new service.

Newbie Questions . . .
Hello all. My company currently has an older Executone PBX system that we are outgrowing. Rather than wait until the last minute to make a hasty decision, I thought it would be a good idea to do some research and compare options first. My expertise is in computers and networking, and telephony systems are mostly foreign to me. What we currently have are 5 incoming POTS lines and 25

Growing beyond unsigned integer for the id field
I am creating an app that will out grow an int(10) unsigned for the id field, ie. 4,294,967,295 records. What are my options, I have looked at the GUID plugin that lets you use a 32 char GUID, but I still want the id''s to be sequential, and (I think) that the overhead of searching a varchar field will be too big for such a large number of records. It does not appear you can use a

Ruby on Rails and MS Access
How do I connect an existing or new Access database with Ruby on Rails? I am new to Ruby on Rails and a tutorial I am going through mentions using MySQL but I don''t have MySQL and only work with MS Access. Is MySQL available for free on the web? Thanks. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups

[LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
Hi Everyone, LLVM is a growing project, and many of us are very fond of it. :) LLVM is continuing to grow, both in maturity in specific areas and in scope of areas that it is applicable to. When we first started the project, we focused on the design of the intermediate representation. It is a strong design goal that the IR be a self-contained virtual instruction set, which fully describes

backing up email / saving maildir on external hard drives
Dear Steve, Very valuable info. Appreciate it and will be careful when using terms. Actually I think I should just use rsync without compressing. The reason why I started compressing was because the GUI gave some errors when I was trying to copy then files. I'll just rsync the data from my laptop HDD to my external drive(without compressing) Thanks Kevin On Sunday, August 9, 2015, Steve

backing up email / saving maildir on external hard drives
Hello, Yesterday I tried to back up a 40GB maildir . I tried to move the maildir from home to external HDD but failed. Decided then to compress it(which took several hours). Now changing the disk format from FAT to exFAT to allow the transfer for the large compressed file. How does one back up emails on a external drive? Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you tried to *move* it it's an archive, not a backup. If you tried to *copy* it, with the intent of keeping the original on the original hard disk and using it

Running version 2.5 beta as a service
Hi and thanks for the replies. Thomas, is the second option you mention an installation of the daemon necessary for running as a service? I have already installed the icecast 2.4.99 from source using http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast-2.5-beta2.tar.gz <http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast-2.5-beta2.tar.gz> at icecast.org and have built it using … ./configure

Hot swap CPU
From: Rodrigo Barbosa <rodrigob at suespammers.org> > Btw, don't quote me on this one :) > I'm only 90% sure of the hotswapping capabilities, and less than 50% > sure about the price :) There _are_ systems with hot-swap CPUs, memory and/or, PCI[-X] slots. They are _not_ commodity and pricey, and require OS-level support. In fact, I believe Linux 2.6 has some support for
