Problem with dir.create (R2.2.0 Windows XP 2002 SP 2)
I've run into a problem with dir.create on R2.2.0 Windows XP 2002 SP 2. setwd("d:/") print(dir.create("d:\\otis-sim\\rdata", recursive=T)) print(dir.create("d:\\otis-sim\\", recursive=T)) Both return false and fail to create the directories. setwd("c:/") print(dir.create("d:\\otis-sim\\rdata", recursive=T)) Returns true and succesfully creates the directories. 2.4.14 + latest patch != ext3 support
...tes ext3, as well. Well, I tried it anyway: # tune2fs -j /dev/hda5 tune2fs 1.23, 15-Aug-2001 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09 The filesystem already has a journal. So, I'm wondering how come I can't get the kernel to support ext3 FS, basically :) Does anyone (not) see a missing step? Extracting a range of elements from a vector
...n a vector's content rather than index. This causes the following two main questions: 1. Is there a way to specify a range of vector elements? 2. Is this the most efficient method, since this could be extremly time consuming when used to test millions of bits? Thanks very much in advance Otis Laws

does asterisk work with other processors
Hello All, I have tried numerous versions of asterisk from asterisk at home to compiling it myself through the cvs server. I don't understand it works fine with the intel p2 box but not the faster via cyrix box. Is it the processor or something? Regards, Otis Surratt Jr. / otis@ocosa.com

glm and capture-recapture
...rces of patients. We know in each list, patients already known in all other list. The aim is to use capture-recapture models for estimating the number of patients unknow of all the sources. Because no order in sources, one cannot use classical models for closed animal populations (models M(bht) of Otis ) so I use hierarchical loglinear model, moreover for controlling interactions (dependence) between sources. For me it sound a little strange when I read in papers that authors use 'glm' and 'predict' for this problem even if I know that loglinear are in generalized linear model....

Can't HANGUP call or channel on 1.4.9
...feats the whole purpose of priorities. If I do a soft hangup SIP/50-12345 in the console while my_agi sleeping (copying the channel from the HANGUP command feedback from agi debug), the correct thing happens. The channel is hung up and it avoids priority 2. Why soft hangup works, HANGUP() as a priotity works, and HANGUP or HANGUP <chan> within the AGI doesn't work is beyond me. Asterisk reports the correct arguments are passed and so on. I also tried dialing into the context via a GOTO from a DID extension. The same problem manifests itself with the only change being the channel is a...

e2fsprogs and ext3
One of my servers appears to have some filesystem corruption. I'm running Red Hat 6.2 with kernel 2.2.19pre6 and ext3 0.5e. That server currently has e2fsprogs-1.20-WIP-0117 installed. Is it OK to upgrade to the latest e2fsprogs (i.e.: 1.22) prior to running the e2fsck on the filesystem? --Shawn
