Estimating LC50 from a Weibull distribution
I am attempting to estimate LC50 (analogous to LD50, but uses exposure concentration rather than dose) by fitting a Weibull model; but I can't seem to get it to work. From what I can gather, I should be using survreg() from the survival package. The survreg() function relies on time-to-event data; my data result from 96 h exposures (i.e., dead or alive after a fixed period; 96 h). I've

[LLVMdev] bytecode
...25: Operand#2 I do the corresponding changes in both Writer.cpp and Reader.cpp.But when I compile, errors take place when "linking comp_genericeh.bc component..". comp_genericeh.bc is some bytecode in /runtime/GCCLibrary. I wonder is it because the comp_genericeh.bc is produced by orignal bytecode format so that the changed bytecode read& write lib cann't encode and decode it correctly? -- Shuhan

some report on type 3 wav
Dear all, I have a wav file that when I try to encode with the FLAC Frontend, I get "ERROR: unsupported format type 3". When I open it with an audio editor I find it is 44100 / 32 bit. I requantized it to 16 bit using the default dither and then compressed it with FLAC to get a 61 Mbyte file (the original was about 347 Mbyte). Obviously, this altered somewhat the quality, although

Create multiple domains from single saved domain state (is UUID/name fixed?)
Hi, I would like to save a running domain (ie. disk + memory) and be able to restore it multiple times creating duplicates of the orignal domain all starting from the same state. Use case: I'm building a task-processing system for use in a CI flow. I want to run multiple VMs in parallel using the same image (always starting from the same state). And to avoid needlessly booting between each task, I would like to save (and distribu...

[LLVMdev] Re:question about Insert callInst to call a function in library
...l library and insert CallInst to call it like llvm_start_func_profiling. I mean I could insert a CallInst into *.bc to call function in the exernal library, but is it possible that the function in library will use LLVM method and will use itself bytecode file as input file? for example: m.bc is orignal bytecode. mutated bytecode is m1.bc. I would like to insert a CallInst to call decode function to recover original bytecode m.bc. Actually, I would to compile m1.bc and decode library to executed file, and once I run m1, at first the decode function at entry of main should be run before any code ru...

[LLVMdev] Basic Block / CFG Deep Copy?
...a CFG, that is all the basic blocks of a function and their instructions. I'm asking because I would like to implement continuations in my VM and I need to create a modified version of some functions. I thought a simple way of doing this would be to modify a copy of the code generated for the orignal function. This would be simpler than modifying all my VM logic to generate a brand new CFG (and less time consuming). - Maxime -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Basic-Block---CFG-Deep-Copy--tp23913838p23913838.html Sent from the LLVM - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

splitting dataset based on variable and re-combining
...osa> But instead, what I am ending up with is two result sets, and no way I can think of to combine them. I am sure this comes up alot where you have a factor you wish to split your models on, say sex (male vs. female), and you need to present the results back so it matches to the order of the orignal dataset. I have tried to think of ways to use an index, to try to keep things in order, but I can't figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated. Brian

[Flac-users] viewing the fingerprint?
An enthusiastic FLAC user on another list to which I subscribe said that FLAC has a function to display on screen the stored fingerprint that a FLAC file has of its source WAV. That sounds wonderful, because it allows a user to see whether two differing FLAC files might come from the same WAV but have been compressed with different sets of options, and therefore they would decompress to identical

VT-x not found..
Hi Everyone, I upgraded my CentOS 5.5 to Xen 3.4.2 using this guide: http://www.syntaxtechnology.com/2010/01/upgrade-xen-3-0-on-centos-5-4-x86_64-to-xen-3-4-2/ Now, using the new kernel that it gave me, the system doesn''t seem to be able to detect vt-x.. In virt-manager, Local Install Media and Network Boot are greyed out.. Any ideas? Thanks

Dovecot (unofficial) patches
...the patches. Are all these personal wishes/nice to have things or are they (to be) incorporated in dovecot-final?
