copy Windows registry
Hi
l've managed to fly in FS9 by simply mounting my Win partition. Now a lot of addons have registry entries so I wonder if I could bypass all this installation orgy somehow? Anyone tried to copy the original Windows registry to .wine? Also some paths would need adjustments?
Thanks

what is wine good for?

but. there is a but. i've been using wine since years, from time to time, i compiled it, tried various versions both precompiled and source up to the present day. now i give up. wine is unusable. period. dont want to say it is a piece of crap because of all the hard work that is behind, but it is irritating to say the least.

unreliable. I was hoping to copy them over to a Linux box running samba
but it is taking forever.
A strace on the smbd process receiving the files
