Installing opensshd on Sun Cobalt Linux, shell interpreter issue
I have just installed openssh on my Sun Cobalt Qube, running Linux. The shell interpreter for the rc script forces /sbin/sh. This is defined in opensshd.init.in. This shell does not exist on this implementation of Linux. I have written about this in (much more) detail at http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/DaveLevy/20060104. NB This would seem to me to be a common problem but I havn't found any references in the archives. The following bourne...

With the previous versions of openssh, I used SUN's "makeOpenSSHPackage.ksh" script and was able to generate the keys by running /etc/init.d/openssh.server script, which is essentially functioning like /etc/init.d/opensshd. When I run the /etc/init.d/opensshd, I get the following errors: Installation of <OpenSSH> was successful. # cd /etc/init.d/ # ./opensshd start Couldn't connect to PRNGD socket "/var/run/egd-pool": No such file or directory Entropy collection failed ssh-rand-helper child prod...

OpenSSHd: PATHs in configuration files
Dear all, is it possible to specify the default paths in the appropriate configuration of the Daemon ? If not, wouldn't it make sense to include that feature as the configuration files get parsed anyway ? What do you mean ? OpenSSHd barfs upon reauthentication: PAM, Solaris 8
We've been having trouble with OpenSSH 2.9p2, running on Solaris 8 (a domain of an E10k), with PAM authentication turned on. It intermittently crashes with signal 11 (seg fault) after the password is entered, after the MOTD is displayed, but before control is passed over to the login shell. I eventually managed to persuade sshd's child process to consistently crash, upon entry of an

SSH Closes Immediately After Opening
I used the latest version from here: http://www.mls-software.com/opensshd.html On my other (Windows 10) machine (on which openssh works), I have cygwin installed, but if ssh was using cygwin, I wasn't aware of it. I just ran ssh from the command prompt. Wallace Forman 913-669-4453 On Wed, Jun 29, 2016 at 4:37 PM, ?ngel Gonz?lez <keisial at gmail.com> wrote:...
