OpenSMTPD and Dovecot run on the same machine. OpenSMTPD receives
incoming mails and stores them in a mailbox (/var/spool/mail/user).
Dovecot then fetches mails from this mailbox file.
Mailbox file is indeed very unoptimal, but at this moment I'm more

netstat -n | grep :587
run as root, show you? the -p will give the program and pid.

Problems, virtual and alias, Dovecot, Neomutt, OpenSMTPD on OpenBSD
...ving some problems. I'm using virtual users with real domains.
That is working, but the folders are not showing up properly in neomutt,
for both virtual users and system users.
When I use K9 on Android, the folders show up correctly.
Sending is working, but I don't have auth setup right on OpenSMTPD, so
I'm sending locally, not remotely (including from K9, which can't login
to send). That's really probably not relevant here, but I thought I'd
mention it. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that after having to move
everything off of one server super rapidly to another already wo...

I am using OpenSMTPD. The OpenBSD 6.3 default one.
Also, when telnet to 127.0.0.1 25 I get a response! So must be
something with 587?

Regarding locks, OpenSMTPD's config should match methods AND order of
dovecot's mbox_write_locks.?...

Workaround for infinite loop in XCLIENT command bug

so I was wondering if there is any workarounds? Maybe like disabling the XCLIENT command from the config file or something similar?

the mails which are already in!

If you telnet to port 25, do an EHLO host, does the response include AUTH? If not, opensmtpd is not offering AUTH over unencrypted port 25 connections.

lda fails in parse_angle_addr if sieve is enabled
Hi,
Since updating to 2.3.1 on my FreeBSD mailserver mail delivery using
lda is broken if I have sieve enabled.
(Before updating this was 2.2 and pigeonhole 0.4)
FreeBSD 11.1-p8 amd64
Dovecot 2.3.1
Pigeonhole 0.5.1
Mailflow is OpenSMTPd as MTA, using mda delivery to rspamc which
utlimately delivers using dovecot-lda.
smtpd.conf
deliver to mda "rspamc -h scan --mime -e
\"/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d %{user.username}\""
%{user.username} is the local user after virtusers, aliases etc.
verified using a sh...
