networkmanager VS OpenConnect VPN
I have a VPN connection using the openconnect vpn, and it is managed by network manager. Works fine. It has been on my system since the original Centos 7.x release. Now that I have Centos 7.3, while it still works fine, I find that I can no longer add a new connection using openconnect. I also find that I am not allowed to edit the existing...

How to use /dev/net/tun from libvirt-lxc with user namespacing enabled
...tart using libvirt for container management since I already use it for virtual machines, which will spare me from dealing with multiple hypervisor technologies. I managed to create a working domain xml for the container, and everything seems to be working very well except one thing: I cannot start openconnect (VPN software) inside the container. I noticed that by default libvirt won't create /dev/net/tun for the container, so I added this to the domain xml: <filesystem type='mount'> <source dir='/dev/net'/> <target dir='/dev/net'/> <...

Inconsistency in creating/opening/closing/destroying connections (PR#787)
...ething like a CLOSED connection, as it says all logical: if true all connections, including CLOSED ONES and the standard ones are displayed. If false only open user-created connections are included. So this is at least a documentation bug, but what about having something like CreateConnection OpenConnection CloseConnection DestroyConnection Is there any reason to have (as currently) OpenConnection seperated from CreateConnection but CloseConnection and DestroyConnection combined? Just install openconnect on your syustem and configure it for the https sites you want to connect to. You should need: NetworkManager-openconnect.x86_64 openconnect.x86_64 install those, right-click on the network manager icon in the upper panel, choose edit then choose add then choose "Cisco AnyConnect Compatible&q...

Inconsistency in creating/opening/closing/destroying (PR#788)
...'t think any documentation says open is the opposite of close. I think you are just assuming things that are not said. Note: ?close says `close' closes and destroys a connection. not just closes it, so there can be closed and not destroyed connections. > CreateConnection > OpenConnection > CloseConnection > DestroyConnection > > Is there any reason to have (as currently) OpenConnection seperated from CreateConnection but CloseConnection and DestroyConnection combined? Yes. These are S4-type connections, and that is what S4 does. -- Brian D. Ripley,...

Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client for 32- bit CentOS 6
I have the above installed on a couple of 64-bit systems, both CentOS 6 and CentOS 7, where the client works fine. Now, however, I have installed the 32-bit version of CentOS 6 on a netbook but I cannot get the Cisco website installer to recognize the computer/operating system, not even displaying any error message. Does anyone have the client running on a 32-bit system? I have been told it

VPN suggestions centos 6, 7
Folks I would like to have my windows 7 laptop communicate with my home server via a VPN, in such a way that it appears to be "inside" my home network. It should not only let me appear to be at home for any external query, but also let me access my computers inside my home. I already have this working using M$'s PPTP using my home Centos 6 gateway/router as the PoPToP server.

Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client for 32- bit CentOS 6
Install the excellent openconnect client from EPEL, I think there is also a NetworkManager plugin for it so you can use a UI, though the cli is not too bad. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! openvpn client and KDE Network Manager - with CentOS7
Hi All, I am switching from Fedora20 to CentOS7 since I now run all my Linux development in a VM and I get a more robust feature set (i.e. shared folders with the host that "just work", etc) The only issue I have thus far is VPN connections. Looking at what's installed on my old Fedora install I suspect I need these packages: kde-plasma-nm-vpnc kde-plasma-nm-openvpn

nameserver issue
Hi all! This question is, at best, somewhat peripheral to Centos, but I'm hoping to be forgiven, and that someone here can give me a clue. I've just brought up a nameserver on my household LAN, bind9 on a Raspberry Pi. The connection with Centos is this: my main desktop is C7, and its hardwired network is also manual, not dhcp. I've edited the ipv4 config (in NM) and changed the DNS
