firewallchain issues w/ 1.0.0 release
Hi, First, some software versions, just to get them out of the way: - CentOS 5.x through Centos 6.2 - Ruby 1.8.5 - 1.8.7 - Puppet 2.7.19 - Facter 1.6.11 Just a note - we''re working from the EPEL repos almost exclusively. I am working with the firewall module, and so far I am unable to use firewallchain. Some digging suggests that it''s not completely user error (though I

Does this compete with iPOD
I was saying before that I believe that the iPOD is a wonderful, but is over-hyped, over-priced and over-marketed. I also believe that it is a unit that is commited to control the market place, support iTUNES (for mediocre quality downloads) and not support open source products like oog vorbis. This look like and interesting unit that supports Windows and Mac and there is NO software to install

Yet Another Vorbis Portable
Hullo, folks. As the wiki is *still* down, I'm sending this to the list again. The EZAV EMP-400 is a small flash-based portable player with an OLED screen. I think it's still in development, because I can't find information on its pricing anywhere. The memory capacity isn't visible anywhere either, but the previous device from EZAV had 256 megs of memory.

If you haven't yet listened or participated, please consider doing it. We have a great kernel of people at all levels of expertise and ideas and questions can be kicked around immediately (well, there's a few milliseconds lag). This

rsync - umlauts and length of file name
Hi - I have implemented an rsync script that runs on a Leopard OS X system and backup the local host itself, plus 2 remote machines - another Leopard machine and a Win XP laptop. The remote backups are performed by connection to an rsync daemon. I'm using rsync 3.0.4 with a few extension for the Mac OS X side. When doing the backup of the XP box I see these error messages: 28/11/2008

Puppet dashboard - having cached catalog runs show up as warnings
Hi, I have noticed that when a typo is introduced or a module is plain broken, puppet will run using a cached catalog. This is logged as an error on the local client, however, it is not logged as an error on Puppet Dashboard. How can I change this behavior, so that using the cached catalog will result in a warning/error being displayed on Puppet Dashboard? Foreman does this. I''ve
