getting rid of "permission denied" partial transfer errors
Hi, I am currently setting up a backup script for the /home directory of a server. I send all the files on a remote machine through LAN connection using rsync to optimize bandwidth usage. Sometimes Roaming Profile loose rights to restart shutdown...
Hi, sometimes my Roaming Profile gets buggy and i cant use the Reboot Shutdown ... function all other works. When i make a new users.v6 folder the Profile works again very well. I tried all GPOs i found for energy settings but nothing helps if the Profile is broken. Only delete and make a new one works Samba 4.11.2 Win10 1803-1903 any ideas? or Workarounds? Ren? fuse filesystem mount issue
Hi! I'm using the ntfs-3g module for my portable USB hard drive on Centos 5.4. When I plug it into my centos box it mounts fine, but its owned by root and nobody but root has permission to write to it. I've been perusing the ntfs-3g and fuse man pages (and other docs) and they all seem to say that the default settings should be to allow RW access to everyone. but that isn't what

readonly files get un-erasable from win nt clients #REPOST
Hi I posted this last week but go no answers. So I try again in case someone has any idea... I have a file server (linux with acl and quotas custom 2.4.18 kernel, samba 2.2.7a with acl, quotas and winbind) among others there's a share on which any user of the domain is allowed to put files, any user able to read and write other users' files (a public and free space) the problem is that
