Cool! I'll have to buy a copy. It's been years since I was into FPS
games, but I used to be pretty good at Ghost Recon.
Now...how to sneak a gaming rig into the next quarterly budget.... 8-)

When attempting to delete a default ACL an error return of ENODATA means there
wasn't a default ACL in the first place. Don't treat this as an error as it
means we're now where we wanted to be, i.e. without a default ACL.

OT - mstts.agi - Where to find API key ?
...recently discovered http://zaf.github.com/asterisk-mstts/ .
In the page above, it is mentioned you have to subscribe to Microsoft
Translator API on Azure Marketplace.
In Azure Marketplace, I found something called "Microsoft Translator".
This API is free within a 2 000 000 characters per onth limit.
Is this the API needed for MS TTS ?
If not, where and how can I find the good one ?

read.spss (package foreign) and SPSS 15.0 files
Hello,
does anyone have experience with reading SPSS Version 15.0 files into R (version 2.4.1, WinXP)?
I have long been sucessfully reading SPSS files with read.spss from the wonderful foreign package, but somehow after upgrading from SPSS14 to SPSS15 I seem to have problems.
Trying a simple example, where test.sav is a SPSS 15.0 data file consisting of x1=c(1,2,3) and

Dial command nor progressing on Zap channels
...handle it any way we want from there. However if the outbound call
is made via the PRI (Zap channel) to an enaged number it simply plays an enaged
signal to the caller and never progresses past the Dial priority. I
know for a fact the call is not actually being answered, because I get

g711 ulaw vs alaw
Hi All,
Can someone explain to me the difference between g711's ulaw and alaw
codecs? Is it just different header info or is the actual payload in
each encoded differently? I have thus far noe been able to find any
difinative information onthe matter. All I've managed to find out
that they are "similar", they sound the same and that it doesn't
matter which you use. Could someone knowledgable please enlightmen me?

ext3 heavy file fragmentation with NFS write
Hello,
Does anybody know how to avoid the file fragmentation when a file is
created over NFSv3?
A file created locally is OK:
dd bs=32k if=/dev/zero of=test count=32x1024 conv=fsync
filefrag test
test: 10 extents found, perfection would be 9 extents
When I create the file in the same dir, but from another machine,
mounted over NFS:
filefrag test
test: 4833 extents found, perfection would be

Poor Rails performance when run on Redhat
Hi,
We have developed a small RoR app that runs fine on a standard IBM
thinkpad (1GB mem) but runsmuch slower when on an IBM x460 Redhat
machine (32GB ram).
The x460 server has hardly any thing running on it at present, so that
not the issue.
We are busy checking the config and permissions of the user account
used to run the app., but I was wondering if you guys have heard
anything about redhat

partial cumsum
Hello,
I am searching for a function to calculate "partial" cumsums.
For example it should calculate the cumulative sums until a NA appears,
and restart the cumsum calculation after the NA.
this:
x <- c(1, 2, 3, NA, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10)
should become this:
1 3 6 NA 5 11 18 26 35 45
any ideas?
thank you and best regards,
stefan

[LLVMdev] A question about StrongPhiElimination
...r2 = ...
goto Block 4
Block 3
r3 = phi(r1, r4)
r4 = ...
if (...) goto Block 3
else goto Block 4
Block 4
r5 = phi(r2, r3)
... = r5
Since the live range of r2, r3, and r5 do not interference,
StrongPhiElimination decides, before InsertCopies(), to rename both r2
and r3 to r5 based onthe algorithm in [1]
During InsertCopies(), because 'r3' is live after Block 3 and this is
the typical case where 'lost-copy' could happen, StrongPhiEilimination
inserts a copy from r3 to a temp register r99 based on the algorithm
in [2]. Block 3 then becomes
Block 3
r3 = phi(r1,...
