SIP CallerID Question
...eral branch offices all running Asterisk PBX's that register to each other via SIP so that calls can be transferred from office to office. Everything is working great on the office to office transfers, but I'd like to somehow make the CallerID more useful. Currently if an extension at Office1 dials an extension at Office2 the CID on the phone at Office2 says "Office1". The same thing happens if a person at Office1 transfers an incoming call to Office2. The caller ID at Office2 always just says "Office1". What I would like to happen would be when Bob at Extensio...

incoming call should ring on several dahdi channels
Hi, I need a feature from asterisk with dahdi channels, if there is an incoming call, it should ring on several dahdi channels. My channels look like: OFFICE1=DAHDI/13,,rtT OFFICE2=DAHDI/14,,rtT If I add this line: exten => 12345678,1,Dial(${OFFICE1}&{OFFICE2}) only OFFICE1 rings. If I change it to exten => 12345678,1,Dial(DAHDI/13&DAHDI/14) DAHDI/13 and 14 rings together, but I can't add the ,,rtT features (the biggest problem i...

Specified User Does not exist ?
Hey all, I hope I'm missing something simple. This is my second PDC install and I'm having some problems getting my win2k machine to join the domain. First I made the machine account: useradd -g 100 -d /dev/null -c "bob's computer" -s /bin/false office1$ Then I lock the password: passwd -l office1$ Next I make the smbpasswd -am office1 name. Finally, I added a smbpasswd for my root account. Then, I change the computer name to office1, reboot, and then try to join the domain with the root account and new smbpasswd. I am receiving this error:...

Can anyone give me an ideia how to accomplish

Information setting up asterisk with an ISDN NT
...nalog. I have 2 offices with 2 NT boxes and I want to connect them with Asterisk to route outgoing from one office two the other. At the end I want them to look like this Office2 will have only VoIP phones (not ISDN phones connected to a card in asterisk) and routing all traffic to the asterisk in office1 which then makes the call. I also want to port the extension numbers from Office2 to Office1 and let asterisk use them for outgoing calls (I think I have to have a card supporting DID?) both asterisk are connected with SIP or AIX, don't know yet, but that is the easy part... Questions? Is this...

geo-replication loops
Hi, I was thinking about a common (I hope!) use case of Glusterfs geo-replication. Imagine 3 different facility having their own glusterfs deployment: * central-office * remote-office1 * remote-office2 Every client mount their local glusterfs deployment and write files (i.e.: user A deposit a PDF document on remote-office2), and it get replicated to the central-office glusterfs volume as soon as possibile using geo-replication feature. After a while, that PDF document should be...

In sip.conf I created a peer entry for each office with a username of branch-user and a friend entry for every branch-user with the username being just the branch, for example: [Office2] username=Office1-user host=10.10.80.253 type=peer context=internal secret=sipptrunk dtmfmode=rfc2833 disallow=all allow=ulaw call-limit=20 [Office1-user] username=Office2 host=10.10.60.253 type=user context=internal secret=sipptrunk dtmfmode=rfc2833 disallow=all allow=ulaw call-limit=20 This mostly works. Can't join domain as DC
Hello, I have 2 offices connected through VPN (all ipv4 and ipv6 traffic allowed), every office with it's own subnet. I built a DC in office1 for mydomain.local, built a second one in same office and joined mydomain.local with no problem. Then i built a DC in office2, but when i try it to join mydomain.local, the join process blocks at "Setting account password for OFFICE2-DC$" and throws an error after some time. Here is the...

Hello. I'm trying to install MS Office 2000 Small Bussiness (Polish version) with latest CVS wine. ...inate that if possible - so how will this work when they are accessing it from outside the office, where each office has its own public IP? I'd prefer to not rely on users using the correct hostname (currently, we just use 'mail.example.com', and I know I could set up two new ones - office1.example.com and office2.example.com - but then I'd be relying on the users to get it right, and I'd prefer to avoid that can of worms). I guess a worst case scenario (if there is no better way) would be to do it that way, then watch the logs for users who get it wrong and are using the...
