Import Possibilities for Excel or lotus 1 2 3 table
Hi, is there any possibility to import excel or lotus 123 (.wk1) files to R without using Excel to export as ASCII itself? Any external converter for unix will also do the job, but i do not know about one. Thanks chris -- Christoph M. ...local storages for m1.small and c1.medium; one is for 160GB instance store storage, and the other is for a storage for the swap space, described in: http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/InstanceStorage.html#InstanceStoreDeviceNames I assume that the root device name of the officail CentOS AMI is /dev/sda prevents to recognize /dev/sda3 prepared by AWS. It doesn't seem to matter if I create Linux userids with Yast. Or if I create Samba users via SMBPASSWD. I've been reading "The Officail Samba 3.2.x HOWTO and Reference Guide" as well as Samba-3 by Example. They either have too simple of setup jump to a lot more complex of an example. I've been maintaining this via SWAT. So what really needs to be done? Thanks Tom Duerbusch THD Consulting

ldapsam backend for standalone server - is it possible?
Hi, List, I am wondering if it is possible to set up a standalone server with ldapsam backend. I mean, not to set it up as a domain controller; ideally I don't want a windows domain but would like to stick with the windows workgroup mode. All the samba officail documents and other docs on the web are for set it up as a [primary|backup] domain controller. Below I list the mimimal working samba configurations: [global] workgroup = MYGROUP netbios name = LDAPSMB server string = Samba Server security = user passdb bac...
