Asterisk IAX over VSAT satellite.
...ec - just gsm. I have tos=reliable set in iax.conf. I didn't get disconnected during my test calls, but they weren't very long in duration. I haven't tried a fax but maybe I will. Anyway congratulations Mark et al on your fine work making such a robust VoIP system. Thanks! -- Jim Ockers, P.Eng. (ockers@ockers.net) Contact info: please see http://www.ockers.net/

use of Asterisk and T100P as Nortel DSX-1?
...ossover cable and connecting them together. Thanks to the list denizens I've learned how to make Asterisk interface very nicely with a dumb pbx using the Flash and SendDTMF functions, but I would love to know the best way to make ASterisk interface with a smart PBX. Thanks a lot, Jim -- Jim Ockers, P.Eng. (ockers@ockers.net) Contact info: please see http://www.ockers.net/

IAX calls drop suddenly?
...t I want is for the IAX systems on each end to be a little more "forgiving" of IP latency/jitter etc. before abruptly disconnecting/dropping the call. Please let me know what sorts of things I can try to do to make the VoIP calls more reliable between these gateways. Driver for Powerware 3105 (USB)
...s because of library dependencies. But besides the command IO functions the drivers are identical. Since I'm new to USB programming I'm not sure whether the error handling and reconnect processing is correct. I'd appreciate any comments and suggestions. nbdkit / exposing disk images in containers
...ding a disk image into a container (unclear why? perhaps so these can be distributed using the existing container registry systems?): https://github.com/kubevirt/containerized-data-importer/blob/master/doc/image-from-registry.md An example of such a disk-in-a-container is here: https://hub.docker.com/r/kubevirt/fedora-cloud-container-disk-demo We've been asked if we can help with tools to efficiently import these disk images, and I have suggested a few things with nbdkit and have written a couple of filters (tar, gzip) to support this. This email is my thoughts on further development...
