IL-2 Occasional Freezes
...10 and loaded Ubuntu 10.10... it runs like a brand new machine! (If if weren't for compatibility issues I would do the same to my netbook right away!) Anyway to test out Wine I installed IL-2 1946, patched up to 4.10m. With a little tweaking it is running like a dream, save one minor issues. Occasionally the program hiccups with what looks like a slowdown in fps and then freezes solid... forcing me to power off the lappy to restart. It's a minor annoyance but I wanted to check and see if anyone else has experienced and resolved this. Off the top of my head I suspect it has something to do with...

...backend for sites that have 250 or more users". Since we moved default passbd backend to tdbsam, does that statements still holds true. As an FYI, I am using Samba-3.2.4, idmap_rid with tdbsam as backend for about 3 years with 2000 users on member server configuration authenticating AD 2003. Occasionally I had db corrupt issues, but restarting winbind resolved most of the times. I am planning an upgrade to 4. Please someone confirm me on if tdbsam is improved to hold huge no. of objects. ~LA

Occasional one-way audio - Sangoma A101
We are having an occasional one w-way audio problem that occurs about every 25 - 30 calls on a system configured as follows: Asterisk 1.2.12.1 Sangoma A101 w/wanpipe beta9 Polycom 500s w 1.5.3 This happens only on inbound calls from the PRI. The external caller can hear our customer answer and say hello, however, our customer cannot here their caller. Typically, the caller calls right back

Zap channel occasionally misses dialing the first digit
....I THINK. When dialing 1+10 digits, I occasionally get a telco message "You must first dial a 1....". When I look at the console, the number is being sent to the ZAP channel properly. We're talking about a couple of POTS lines on a TDM400P. I'm thinking that it may be starting the dial too early after coming off-hook because I...

occasional ssh hang
...host uptime' hanging. Did this ever get resolved? I am using OpenSSH on Redhat 6.2 (Intel) and Solaris 2.6 (Sparc). I have a job on the linux machine that ssh's to the Solaris machine every 20 seconds or so and runs uptime. The problem is that after many iterations of this, ssh will occasionally hang, and require a kill -9 to get rid of the process. The problem happens with both protocol version 1 and 2, but it seems to happened more often with version 2. I have noticed this problem with both 2.5.2p2 and 2.9p1.

DomU occasional Boot hang
...rom Assus (64 bit CPU - X4). All the instances are running CentOS 5.1. There is no monitor attached to the server and all the outputs (GRUB, Kernel, Terminals) are sent to the serial console. Everything works fine except when I try to boot up an instance from Dom0, it hangs during the boot sequence occasionally (rather more often than just occasionally). I cannot pinpoint where exactly it hangs during the boot sequence as it''s so random. (rather not-reproducible stably but it happens often enough). If I can boot the instance up, finally and randomly, everything works fine. One more thing is that...

Still can't get asterisk to play voicemail files occasionally
...annot play it. They go through the menus, hit 1 to play the message, and immediately the 'post message' menu prompts them to delete the message. The actual voicemail file never gets played... This does NOT happen with any sort of pattern, or on specific extensions.. It seems to be happening occasionally systemwide. Now, I've downloaded these voicemail wav files from the server to my local desktop, and they play fine... This is * 1.2.0 -- anyone have any clues what might be causing this or has anyone had any sort of similar occurance? It's driving both me & my users nuts!!! Thanks in a...

Bad message_id occasionally when connecting a MacOS to a freebsd running 4.8.2
Hi, I am running Samba 4.8.2 with fruit and use it to connect a MacOS to the server. Mostly it works very good, but occasionally the connection halts or the Mac disconnects, and in the log I find these messages: Jun 20 13:00:00 orca smbd[6033]: [2018/06/20 13:00:00.856101, 0] ../source3/smbd/smb2_server.c:641(smb2_validate_sequence_number) Jun 20 13:00:00 orca smbd[6033]: smb2_validate_sequence_number: smb2_validate_sequ...

Winbind occasionally forgets some users (failed to call wbcGetpwnam: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND)
...site has a Debian 8.5 box running Samba 4.2.10-Debian. We decided to test moving shares from the Windows Server to the local Debian machine. (zfs snapshot is *really* handy when someone decides to open cryptolocker). File sharing has been working perfectly for about 6 months with one exception. Occasionally (for no reason I can find), winbind 'forgets' a handful of users. If I run 'wbinfo -i <a working user>' I get their name, home directory, shell, etc... If I run it against a non-working-user, I get: failed to call wbcGetpwnam: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND Could not get info for...

Any need to be worried about occasional dsync errors ?
I am occasionally (maybe every 4 hours or less frequently) seeing the following two errors appear in my logs. Are they any cause for concern ? Error: Timeout during state=sync_mails (send=done recv=mails) I/O has stalled, no activity for 600 seconds (last sent=mail_request (EOL)

Icecast occasionally not dropping aliased/relayed sources
...unning Icecast 1.3.12 under FreeBSD 4.5. There are 2 sources being fed from another local machine as well as 13 aliased sources which come from an ISP owned by our upstream bandwidth provider. These are mostly 128kbit with a few 192kbit streams. The majority of the time it works fine, however occasionally I notice that the external stream is not dropped when there is noone listening to it. If I look at the list.cgi page it shows the source streams connected with 0 listeners each. If I use the admin interface to disconnect those streams that works fine, but any future people that listen will ca...

SCP client prints out "lost connection" error message occasionally
I am using the OpenSSH client (version 5.2p1) in a Linux box L to interact with an embedded SSH server S. When carrying out a recursive transfer from S to L by means of the scp command issued in L (S does not support sftp) the client occasionally prints out a "lost connection" error message at the very end of the transfer. After some debugging I found out that the error message (as printed out from lostconn() in scp.c) occurs because the ssh process in L, spawned by the scp command, has already terminated, but the scp command sti...

rsyserr is occasionally dropping receiver messages

On a few occasions, however, I've seen the ENOSPC error not getting printed. I was able to reproduce this occasionally, but consistently when the file that causes the error was very large (e.g. 5GB) and the space available on the destination was moderate (e.g. 700MB free space resulted in the error not being displayed, whereas only 300MB resulted in the error correctly being displayed), and the file already...
