SIP Trunking Mantra (Origination)
Hello Everyone,
We are currently having talks with various service providers, and
trying to determine what the best way is to interconnect in order to
have access to the PSTN network. As you know there are two ways of
doing this:
Traditional PRI: Have trunks grouped into a transport layer such as
OC3/12. With DIDs attached to the group. As you many know, this
approach would also require a POP

Does Sangoma 8-port card A108 support PCIe version 2.0 ?
The card is here

OFF TOPIC: Core router upgrade for a voip colocation center
Hello, hope this isn't too far offtopic here but being a troller for a long
time here I've realized there is a great knowledge base so I wanted to at
least see if i could get some tips. I help run a small colocation company
in California and I am in the middle of recommending a new 'core router'
platform for our network. We offer mainly colo and dedicated servers, and

Where the hell do you find those deals? I'm interested too.
I probably am not interpreting you message correctly. Please clarify.

Error: Client not receiving data fast enough
...istener], connected for 1
seconds, 8192 bytes transfered. 0 clients connected
I am not sure what is causing this, ices or icecast? I have tried
re-compiling Icecast and Ices to not avail. I am running RedHat 7.1,
Icecast 1.3.10, Ices 0.2.2. I am running off a 100 MB NIC that is
connected to dual OC3s, so bandwidth is definitely not a problem. This
happens whether my client is connecting to the local LAN of the server,
or somewhere else on the internet. Any ideas?

Drivers for FORE systems cards under FreeBSD
I had originally mentioned this only to 2 people, which was Jordan
K. Hubbard and Paul Henning-Kemp, but since I have received a lot of
queries on this, I thought I might as well post it on the FreeBSD announce
groups.
Included below is a posting done on the Linux-atm mailing group, by
Pragnesh Sampat. I have just adapted for FreeBSD.

icecast hosting
The rate I might be off.. as in 80kb but I was hit and I was about
to go with a $1/stream.
What I have to take in consideration is the "charge" per gigabyte
transfer/month. If "I/MY" server goes over 60gigs per month or 100
I have to pay. If that happens I have to charge more per stream
1-2$ or so. I am putting a server on a OC3 / OC 12 line. I will
eventually try to test

IPV4 is nearly depleted, are you ready for IPV6?
Seeing as IPV4 is near it's end of life
(http://www.internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3915471/IPv4+Nearing+Final+Days.htm),
I'm curios as who know whether everyone is ready for the changeover to
IPV6?
Is anyone using it in production already, and what are your experiences with it?

How to make nodes in my local LAN see each other's names
Hello
Sorry for the (I guess) simple question, but:
I have 7 computers under one 8-port router (D-Link DIR-100, firmware
v1.13EU) in my network (actually in a sub-network) and they do not see
each other's host names.
The router has the 'DNS relay' option enabled, and all 7 computers use
the router as the DNS server, which in turn will forward DNS requests to
the ISP DNS server.

TCP port, VPN and resolving the cutting voice problem
Hi All;
Can I run the IAX on TCP port instead of UDP port?
If I ran IAX in TCP port, and in case my network was having a lot of users doing browse on the internet and downloading, so in that case and if the IAX used TCP port, so the voice will be better than using UDP (because in TCP the lost packets will be resend while in TCP it will not which will cause the voice to be cutting)?
