Join Samba without GC role
...try to join Samba to one of subdomain.
Active Directory DB (NTDS.dit) without GC = 1.2 Gb, with GC=16 Gb. When we try to join Samba we have samba DB limit 4Gb.
We see that samba replicate information about all domains in forest:
descriptor_sd_propagation_recursive: DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=domain1,DC=oao,DC=company not found under DC=domain1,DC=oao,DC=company

Thanks for the answer!
Is that true if we have Subdomains, Samba write to DB information only about join-domain?
And what option --domain-critical-only do? I did not see the difference - with or without.

Menu - labels
...paths to generate multilevel menues, bread crumbs etc. And
limits the character range in paths to a-zA-Z. As the directory names are
used verbatim as menu labels this is fairly limitting for non-english pages.
Is there a way to map directory names to configurable UTF8 strings for menu
labels?

Restoring original file permissions
...e will be restored as 666. This is no big deal when
restoring 1 or 2 files. I can keep a listing a and restore permissions
manually. If I had to restore a disk however.....
I was curious to know if anyone could offer any advice/solution to
solving this dilemma.
