smbd cannot be killed
Hello folks, I'm new to this list. Before posting this I tried to search the archives, but couldn't find anything relevant - so excuse me if it's been discussed already. I run a server with Archlinux and Samba 3.2.5 as PDC for ~30 Windows workstations. I have a share containing a CRM-like system with whole bunch of DB files and Windows executables (GoldMine). People run the

Help
Hello there I have a question about rsync, and some options. I have 10 servers here that all need data from one machine. It's a LARGE amount of files all pictures and files and such, now every time I rsync the directory over it takes like hours to create the file list. Now I'm fine with that, but I need to know if it can save the file list it generates and uses it over again for the

Trouble finding all smb shares on network
Hi, just joined the list and know very little about smb. I'm trying to do something that should be simple, but my current solution isn't working 100% All I need is a list of smb shares on the network. I'm doing this: /usr/bin/nmblookup -M -- - and then use this on each ip returned: /usr/bin/smbclient -g -p 139 -NL <ip addr> That works for most cases but it fails to find

effect sizes for Wilcoxon tests
Hello, I use t.test for normal distributed and wilcox.test for non-normal distributed samples. It is easy to write a function for t.test that calculates the effect size, because all parts of the formula are available from the t.test result: r = sqrt(t*t / (t*t + df)) However, for Wilcoxon tests, the formula for effect sizes is: r = Z / sqrt(N) I wonder how I can calculate the Z-score in R for

I was able to change the data structure but still - the result of the aov functions are calculating everything as a within subject. the table looks like this: SerialNo breed treatment distance_1
