multiple cluster doesn't work
...as we
try to use 2 or more we get issues.
It looks the same as bug 636:
http://oss.oracle.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=636
I posted my cluster.conf and command line results there. I'm including them
here in the hopes that someone on this list can offer a shorter solution
than recompiling the o2cb_ctl (which we have in process).
Thanks in advance for any and all help. Here's my post on the bug:
seems like we're back to having this bug again. I'm posting both
cluster.conf and the error that happens at the command line.

Question about increasing node slots
We have a test 10gR2 RAC cluster using ocfs2 filesystems for the
Clusterware files and the Database files.
We need to increase the node slots to accomodate new RAC nodes. Is it
true that we will need to umount these filesystems for the upgrade (i.e.
Database and Clusterware also)?
We are planning to use the following command format to perform the node
slot increase:
# tunefs.ocfs2 ?N 3

O2CB in ocfs2tools 1.2.4
...e OCFS2 Clustering Services]
O2CB is comprised of a simple node manager, heartbeat, TCP protocol, and
DLM. The basic steps in startup are as follows:
1) Load the nodemanager, heartbeat, and tcp modules
2) Mount the nodemanager and heartbeat pseudo filesystems.
3) Load the cluster information via o2cb_ctl. This adds all the
known nodes to the nodemanager's psuedo filesystem.
4) Load the DLM module.
5) Load the OCFS2 module.
6) Mount an OCFS2 filesystem.
The /etc/init.d/o2cb program is responsible for handling steps 1-3
during the boot of a machine. If you are running from the source

Adding new nodes to OCFS2?
I looked around, found older post which seems not applicable anymore. I
have a cluster of 2 nodes right now, which has 3 OCFS2 file systems. All
the file systems were formatted with 4 node slots. I added the two news
nodes (by hand, by ocfs2console and o2cb_ctl), so my
/etc/ofcfs/cluster.conf looks right:
node:
ip_port = 7777
ip_address = 192.168.201.1
number = 0
name = dbcl1n1
cluster = dbcl1
node:
ip_port = 7777

number = 1
name = dbcl1n2

Add a new node to ocfs cluster
Hi everybody,
My problem is that I want to add a new node to an existing RAC with ocfs2, without stop the database.
If I add a new node to an existing ocfs cluster, do I need to stop the ocfs in the others nodes of the cluster?
I've tried to do it without stop the ocfs in the others nodes but I get the following error:

SuSe Hangs when /etc/init.d/o2cb online
Hello,
I have a DELL MD3000i, and a couple of servers that I want to connect to

I have setup the main server with CentOS 5.

Renew IP address node came online again - Amazon EC2
Hi,
I was looking for why one of the nodes could not mount OCFS again, then I found this path:
/sys/kernel/config/cluster/r0/node/
Which I have folders related to my servers, then I noticed that node1 (which is working with OCFS2) did not update node2 IP address.
The file I am talking about is:
/sys/kernel/config/cluster/r0/node/raid2/ipv4_address

The non failing node is able to write/read from the filesystem. And the failing node is also able to delete/read from the filesystem

o2cb_ctl version 1.3.9
drbd 8.2.6
I saw similar problem reports last February, and there was advice to run "stat_sysdir.sh" script.
I'll attach the output here.
If anyone could help, I really need this setup no work rock-solid.

Shutdown to single user mode causes SysRq Reset
...that may or may not be relevant.?? On this
cluster, and another identical cluster, mounted.ocfs2 -f always shows
the node B cluster member as "Unknown" instead of the system name.? As
far as I'm aware I've followed the OCFS2 setup to the letter (it's not
complicated) and "o2cb_ctl -It node" on either node shows both systems
with all the correct details.? Both nodes mount the cluster
filesystems ok and work just fine.
I've not had chance to try my single user test on the other identical
cluster yet as I've not been able to get a downtime window for it.? If

mount.ocfs2: Value too large ...
...and then I downloaded and compiled ocfs2-tools (1.2.6). In accordance with manual I made file cluster.conf, loaded modules and mounted /config and /dlm. On both systems external array is /dev/sdb, so I made linux partition /dev/sdb1 and ocfs2 filesystem on it. Cluster is started by command
# /sbin/o2cb_ctl -H -n clust -t cluster -a online=yes
on both servers.
If I mount filesystem on one server, all is OK. I can read and write files on filesystem and second server can see first's server heartbeating.
