E71
hi, I'm been successful in making calls to another local extension using Nokia E71. However calling the E71 from another ext. (X-lite) is not successful. There is a ringing tone from the caller side but the E71 is silent. Tried disabling the NAT (dunno whether that helps). Instructions where from http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/feature-voip-with-nokia-e71-how-to-2008095/ Am i missing

Winbind: limiting groups that can log-in
Hi, I am currently trying to configure AD (Windows 2003) + Linux (CentOS 4.4) to allow user logins for certain users, namely, developers. The winbind authentication part of it is working correctly, but every user in AD can login to the servers via ssh. I have tried to limit users by adding valid_users = @"domain+developers" (+ is the separator) on /etc/samba/smb.conf, but this

callerid between 2 asterisk servers
...extensions.conf: exten => _8X.,n,Dial(SIP/serverB/${EXTEN},20,r) With this set up, when I dial from an extension such as 6000 on serverA to an extension such as 8000 on serverB, instead of sending the callerid info of 6000 it sends "serverB". I cannot seem to find a way around this. Anyone know of a way to send the 6000 callerid info? Somehow via sending a user-defined field via the dial statement? If not via the dial, then a way to transfer via writing to the file system? Is there a way to use, in extensions.conf, some kind of info transferred between serverA and serverB such as the...

a WARNING about cruise task or user-specified build task for Rails
If (like me) you use ccrb to test a Rails app and (like me) you define your own :cruise task, because, for example, you use rspec rather than Test::Unit and (like me) you have the RAILS_ENV ||= ''production'' line in environment.rb (because, like me, you use crummy shared hosting) Your build will run in production mode, possibly screwing up your production database,
