I'm having some trouble adding machine names to Samba. I've added a user under linux for the machines that I need and they have a $ entry at the end of them. I've also added a user entry for each computer with smbadduser, all to no avail. Does anyone out there know of a good source of reference material on this subject? Thanks, James

I have restricted access by using the read list = @group_name and write list = @group_name Using this, only members of the group can open the folder, and they can read and write to it. I've got Samba up and running on my network, with relativley few problems, but I'm having a problem with subfolders. I've gotten 4 e-mails from this list today from people who were sending out this virus. It appears to be spreading rather quickly. I would urge all of you to update your virus software and get rid of this bug quickly. Thanks, James Simons
