Rsync error 'unexpected tag 93' when --log-file= parameter is present and run from crontab
L.S.
I hope someone can enlighten me on the following phenomenon.
When I run rsync (3.0.2 or 3.0.4) from a (SH) script as follows:
rsync -vrpth --stats --progress --log-file=/nslu2/rsync.log --log-file-format="%t %i %n%L" --include-from=/nslu2/rsync-files /share/hdd/data/public/Ernst/ 192.168.1.69::rsync-nslu2
All is well; it works fine. Log file is created, both client (NSLU2 from LinkSys) and server (here 192.168.1.69, a small embedded linux box) do not report an...

samba 3.0.22 and OS/2 connectivity
Hi All
I have a Linksys NSLU2 device which is used to hook USB2 drives upto my
network as network attached storage.
The Linksys firmware upgrade for this device includes samba 3.0.11 which
is a non-starter regarding OS/2 connectivity.
There is an alternative firmware based on the Linksys firmware called

rsync in cygwin to my linux nslu2 has permissions problems
(I'm using an ssh connection since I plan to do this over the internet in
the future)
When I try to backup, most of the files are copied. Trouble is, some aren't
since some directories are copied over and land on my linux box with
permissions of 000. Because of that, rsync can't copy any other files into
that dir and moves on.
I'd really just like rsync to copy over files all

ices2 memory leak on Debian/ARM (The Darkener)
Sorry to interrupt
but for such devices you should use Optware. - It is created for this
kind of hardware.

rsync failing with return code 13
Hi there,
I'm running rsync on an nslu2 (using nslu2-linux) and it keeps failing
with return code 13. The man page doesn't give a good description of
what this means ("Errors with program diagnostics") so could someone
give me a clue. as to what diagnostics rsync is running and reasons why
they might be failing? The only ma...

I was looking at purchasing a few Linksys NSLU2's for the project as
they are usually below $50 with shipping, but I was told that since they
use a FPU, they can not run DarkIce. It also won't power up after a
power failure unless you hack the hardware. Does anyone know of
anything equivalent to the NSLU2 that will work for a "...

Windows XP Files Disapearing
...copied to the drive. It seems like Samba is hiding the file once it's copied to the drive for some reason. I've set the attribute browseable = yes, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem.
This is my first foray into Linux and Samba. I am running Samba 3.2.0 and Unslung 6.10 on an NSLU2 device. I have a 500GB USB NTFS-formatted drive attached via a hub to the NSLU2 device.
It seems like I may have a permissions problem. Here is my smb.conf file. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

without any problems and ran on my slug! Further, i compiled the asterisk

Debian/Slug is little-endian while most other nslu2-linuxes seem to be
big-endianed.

buy one that can support the above requirement.
What I don't want to do is copy files across and remove them every time I
want to listen to music.
Is there a way to
