Weirdness
...twork-mapped. Lately,
ceetain people are complaining that one of their shares get's remapped
a number of times to take up all the drive letters (except drive letter Z).
So suddenly they have 25 network-mapped drives.
Why? How?

nobody nobody
...=1016,gid=30) (pid 714)
The last entry represents the user, hamilton, re-establishing connection
correctly after logging off and re-establishing
his network-mapped drive. Awhile before, at 11:35:44, he was having
trouble...hence the conect as user nobody.

Remote announcing - Help!
...rk. All works
well except I now cannot see the Samba server.
I have setup my remote announce definition as follows:
remote announce = 192.168.164.255
But still I cannot see the Samba server from this new network. Any
ideas would be appreciated.

Samba vs. NetAppliance
...S.
Below is a URL
to a NetAppliance authored paper regarding performance. One of the sections
compares
NFS to CIFS and talks about Samba. Can anyone dispute any of this? Is
there any reason
besides price that I should stick with Samba?
