grant privileges issue
...in smb.conf to "user". Therefore I try again run the command: net -d 1 -Uroot -Slocalhost rpc rights grant realm\lutierib SePrintOperatorPrivilege Ok. Now the user root has permissions to grant privileges for other users BUT, hovewer, althought the user realm\lutierib is no found. ohhh nooo Ok. I undestand it can't found my user because is only searching users in local files created by smbpasswd. Now come the question: What can I do?! i'm living the chiken-and-egg problem. -- Att. Stopping the Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater -- My Kludge?
Well, I''ve been burning the midnight oil trying to figure out how to issue the stop() command to a PeriodicUpdater. I''ve come up with a solution that uses setTimeouts to call the stop function. I think my solution is very kludgey... especially since I''m new to Javascript + Prototype. Can anyone let me know if the below code is at all proper? :) --------- Summary: A

Question about RAID 5 array rebuild with mdadm
I'm using Centos 4.5 right now, and I had a RAID 5 array stop because two drives became unavailable. After adjusting the cables on several occasions and shutting down and restarting, I was able to see the drives again. This is when I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Please, someone with vast knowledge of how RAID 5 with mdadm works, tell me if I have any chance at all

DIDForSale spam
List users, Did anyone else recently receive spam from DIDForSale with the subject "DIDForSale 2012 achievements"? I suspect that they are using this list to harvest email addresses and think they should be called out on this poor business practice if that is the case. Problems sharing HP Officejet 6210 Linux --> XP
[cross-posted from www.tek-tips.com] Dear samba forum, I've now wasted most of a weekend on this issue, so now it's time to swallow my pride and ask for help! Background: My main home computer died. I can't afford to replace it right now, so I'm attempting to retread an old AMD PC into a linux print/file server. Clients are a mixed bag of Windows XP home/professional PCs. The

Adding two or more columns of a data frame for each row when NAs are present.
I am fairly new to R and would like help with the problem below. I am trying to sum and count several rows in the data frame yy below. All works well as in example 1. When I try to add the columns, with an NA in Q21, I get as NA as mySum. I would like NA to be treated as O, or igored. I wrote a function to try to count an NA element as 0, Example 3 function. It works with a few warnings,

[PATCH 0 of 4] aio event fd support to blktap2
Get blktap2 running on pvops. This mainly adds eventfd support to the userland code. Based on some prior cleanup to tapdisk-queue and the server object. We had most of that in XenServer for a while, so I kept it stacked. 1. Clean up IPC and AIO init in tapdisk-server. [I think tapdisk-ipc in blktap2 is basically obsolete. Pending a later patch to remove it?] 2. Split tapdisk-queue into

ORC JIT - different behaviour of ExecutionSession.lookup?
...Generator and pass a class to it that inherits from “DefinitionGenerator” right? Let’s call it “MyDefinitionGenerator" then. “MyDefinitionGenerator" needs to provide an implementation for “tryToGenerate” which contains stuff which I ignore at this point. Now I’m in step 3.) right? And oh nooo! Planschi_test is undefined. Now the tryToGenerate function is executed and I realize there, that “Planschi_test” is something coming from a different module. Normally I would call the “define” function of the DyLib I got (in the tryToGenerate function) and providing an absolute value. But I can’t...

PRI Errors
I just had the same exact problem this morning. The only thing I've done in the last couple of days is update update zaptel. I rolled back my zaptel to 2/11/04 from 3/8/04. And kept my libpri from 3/8/04. I never had this error before updated. I had other issues, but not this one. -sb -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com

ORC JIT - different behaviour of ExecutionSession.lookup?
Hey Lang, > Do you mean that the object file is produced by another process and is being loaded into your JIT process for execution, or that you want your JIT to produce code for several different processes? These are different problems with different solutions. I'll wait until I understand your use case to answer further. In the current state we don’t have a JIT only an handcrafted object
