Hi everyone, Does anyone here has experience using MICE to impute missing value? I am having problem to pool the imputed dataset for a MANOVA test, could you give me some advice please? Here is my code: > library(mice) >

1.0rc3 problem w/ Thunderbird 1.5.0.5 on Mac OS X
...y excited about the new dovecot release because I've been having problems with a hang on saving messages to my sent-mail box over imap+ssl. I installed 1.0rc3 over my 1.0rc2 install on FreeBSD 5.3 in the same manner as all the other upgrades I've done. After checking my email, tbird became nonresponsive and I saw this repeating in my logs ad infinitum: Aug 2 10:17:10 grin dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<todd>, method=plain, rip=192.168.1.125, lip=64.142.74.74, TLS Aug 2 10:17:10 grin dovecot: IMAP(todd): Effective uid=1001, gid=1001 Aug 2 10:17:10 grin dovecot: IMAP(todd): mbox: data=/...

Connecting to samba server from android TV Box
Hi, I have one of those TV boxes that can be used to connect to a samba server to play media files on a TV but I can't get it to connect. Their support is nonresponsive. I'm a relatively experienced Linux user and have samba working with another media box on the same network. The android media box with the problem is from Ninkbox and it's the N1 Max. The box says it's Android 9.0 using a RK3318 quad-core processor. I can enter in the username and pass...

Firths bias correction for log-linear models
Dear R-Help List, I'm trying to implement Firth's (1993) bias correction for log-linear models. Firth (1993) states that such a correction can be implemented by supplementing the data with a function of h_i, the diagonals from the hat matrix, but doesn't provide further details. I can see that for a saturated log-linear model, h_i=1 for all i, hence one just adds 1/2 to each count,

R crashing during batch file formatting
Hi R users: I have the British Household Panel Survey (BHPS) in .tab format. I want to feed it through the Amelia package (which will be an ‘interesting’ job in itself).. But first I need to convert the various types of missing value (from about -9 to -1) to a more generic ‘NA’ code. I’ve written the following function to do this: BHPS.converter <-

Plotting survival curves after multiple imputation
I am working with some survival data with missing values. I am using the mice package to do multiple imputation. I have found code in this thread which handles pooling of the MI results: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2007-May/132180.html Now I would like to plot a survival curve using the pooled results. Here is a reproducible example: require(survival) require(mice) set.seed(2) dt

Missing data and LME models and diagnostic plots
Hello Running R2.9.2 on Windows XP I am puzzled by the performance of LME in situations where there are missing data. As I understand it, one of the strengths of this sort of model is how well it deals with missing data, yet lme requires nonmissing data. Thus, m1.mod1 <- lme(fixed = math_1 ~ I(year-2007.5)*TFC_, data = long, random =

twang - Toolkit for Weighting and Analysis of Nonequivalent Groups
The Toolkit for Weighting and Analysis of Nonequivalent Groups (twang 1.0) has been released to CRAN. The package collects functions useful for computing propensity score weights for treatment effect estimation, developing nonresponse weights, and diagnosing the quality of those weights. The package includes a vignette containing some basic theory and walks through two examples. It is available by

help repeated measures factoial design
Dear All, A few weeks ago I posted a question to this list but unfortunately got no answer! A friend warned me of my english. Again, the problem is: A 2-level 5-factors completely randomized design was used to investigate the potential effects of those factors on a solution's characters (several response variables). Each response-variable was measured repeatedly (13 times) during a

Re: "virsh list" hangs
...t; [1] https://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~yunchih/s/libvirtd-strace.log So this appears to show it hanging on the following: 17082 lstat("/home/xxxx/mnt", <unfinished ...> Presumably '/home/xxx/mnt/' is a mount point and whatever storage is behind there appears to be dead / nonresponsive. You'll need to either fix this mount point, or delete the XML config for the storage pool that is associated with /home/xxxx/ from the /etc/libvirt/storage/ directory. couple of questions
...(I basically copy ifcfg-eth0 to ifcfg-eth0:0 and change the name and ip entries). However, when I do so, something gets messed up in the routing tables to the point that I can''t get anywhere on the net with either interface - pings still sort of work, and traceroutes become VERY slow, or nonresponsive. Everything I''ve found in the faq and mailing lists suggest that the eth0:0 alias notation is no longer valid with iptables, but I haven''t found any info on how to actually set this up. I''ve enabled "multi" on eth0 in my interfaces config file, but I still hav...

Server hangs on CentOS 5.5
Hi -- I'm running a server which is usually stable, but every once in a while it hangs. The server is used as a file store using NFS and to run VMware machines. I don't see anything in /var/log/messages or elsewhere to indicate any problem or offer any clue why the system was hung. Any suggestions where I might look for a clue? -- Michael Eager eager at eagercon.com 1960 Park Blvd.,

[Bug 30213] New: ION2 (NV50) locks up with infinite loop

The keyboard becomes nonresponsive, but the mouse (and cursor movement) still works. The display stays coherent but is just frozen in time. Attached are both the kernel log and Xorg.0.log, as well as the hwinfo (openSUSE tool) that describes the hardware in detail. The kernel log changes and I've seen this hang appear without a...

winbind trouble under load?
...p when many users login at the same time. I have tried both samba-2.2.5 and currently samba-2.2.6cvs (020926). The problem still persists. This is leading me to the maillist in search for an answer. I have disable the "winbind enum user/groups" since if I enable them winbind goes into a nonresponsive state, probably due to that we have 10K users and more. Im also testing to let samba create the users profile directory but that didn't effect the problem. Samba also seems to loose the ability to lookup the users name in the domain and display the as this: drwx------ 4 10283 SKOLA\Do...

MICE for Cox model
R-helpers: I have a dataset that has 168 subjects and 12 variables. Some of the variables have missing data and I want to use the multiple imputation capabilities of the "mice" package to address the missing data. Given that mice only supports linear models and generalized linear models (via the lm.mids and glm.mids functions) and that I need to fit Cox models, I followed the previous
