If not, is the problem on my end? Feel free to reply privately. Thanks. Bert Gunter Genentech Nonclinical Statistics South San Francisco, CA 94404 650-467-7374

grid unit bug? (PR#14220)
...1] FALSE > is.numeric(unit(0,"npc") +unit(1,"npc")) [1] FALSE ...etc. i.e. is.numeric() appears to be TRUE for class "unit" but false for = class ("unit.arithmetic" "unit" ). find closest value in a vector based on another vector values
Dear All, would you please provide your thoughts on the following: let us say I have: a <-c(1,5,8,15,32,69) b <-c(8.5,33) and I would like to extract from "a" the two values that are closest to the values in "b", where the length of this vectors may change but b will allways be shorter than "a". So at the end based on this example I should have the result

OT: Is randomization for targeted cancer therapies ethical?
...quot; therapies "appear" to be more effective. While the context may be new, the debate, itself, is not: Tukey wrote (or maybe it was talked -- I can't remember for sure) about this about 30 years ago. I'm sure many other also have done so. Hello, I am brand new in this site as well as in R. Please accept my early apology if it's not the right place to ask such a question. I have the following equation: b=[2(1-a)(1+2a)^0.5]/(1+3a) How can I solve the above equation for 'a' using R? Thanks in advance. KD [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

SNPRelate: Plink conversion
Hi, Following my earlier posts about having problems performing a PCA, I have worked out what the problem is. The problem lies within the PLINK to gds conversion. It seems as though the SNPs are imported as "samples" and in turn, the samples are recognised as SNPs: >snpsgdsSummary("chr2L") Some values of snp.position are invalid (should be > 0)! Some values of
