integer decoder
Is anyone working on an Ogg Vorbis decoder that uses only integer
arithmetic? Would it be hard to do?
It will be required at some point (for example, many portable MP3
players are based on an ARM processor without the floating-point
coprocessor), but I don't claim that now is the time to start work on
such a thing. I'm just curious.

DataEntryWindow
...(as.data.frame(matrix(rnorm(100), nrow=10)))

The DataEntryWindow is still present but when I manually (by mouse) kill
it, it does not print in the buffer.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Support for non-8-bit char?
Hello,
Would you consider a port to a machine that doesn't have an 8-bit char
type? (On this machine, char is 9 bits, short is 18s bit, and int is
36 bits.)
Please CC me, as I'm not on the list.
Best regards,
Lars

Some metadata missing, relaying icecast1 stream with icecast2
I'm relaying an icecast1 mp3 stream with icecast2. This works fine,
and the song title is displayed correctly no matter if I use
<relay-shoutcast-metadata>1</> or not on the relay.
But, the stream name and other metadata provided by ices0 on the
icecast1 server is not displayed in the listening client.

OOPS on 2.4.20-ac2
Hi,
I got the OOPS below on my laptop running vanilla 2.4.20-ac2; I had to
copy it byhand so it may not be 100% accurate. It hasn't happened
again, and this is the first problem I've had with this kernel (or any
other kernel, for that matter.) Anyway, I'm not sure, if a) this is
actually an ext3 problem, b) OOPS reports of 2.4.20-ac2 are of any
interest, so I won't bother with

It's the latest version I could find of ices0, that is - 0.2.3,
with mp3 support. The patch I've done is not a patch for the real error,
it justs forces ices

Thanks for responding. The VBR patch was just a "dummy" patch I applied,
because iceS didn't read VBR

Hi. I have found a very interesting problem with the above setup. Icecast
starts up fine, but when I try to connect with iceS I get no response.
I've straced iceS and the last word comes from icecast, but waiting for
more. Icecast mentions nothing during this process, but show a quick

MP3/OGG/The whole thing
Hello all Icecasters!
I'm using icecast 1.3.12 and iceS 0.2.3 (with a self-made patch for VBR MP3,
and an extensive Perl script for automatisation) to stream radio. Works great!
I've tried to understand everything about MP3/OGG and Icecast and since I'm a
stupid person I need to draw things all the time ;) - so I need you to tell me
if I've misunderstood anything in this scheme:

Well done!
Great job!
I'm considering converting all my mp3 files to Vorbis format. Only
examples/encoder_example is a bit too simplistic (of course, being an
example), and the cmdline tools aren't ready.
I encode my mp3 files at 96 kbit/s, because that's enough for me.
Will Vorbis do well at this rate? Any quick hacks I can make to
examples/encoder_example.c?
Perhaps Vorbis is of interest
