Is anyone working on an Ogg Vorbis decoder that uses only integer arithmetic? Would it be hard to do? It will be required at some point (for example, many portable MP3 players are based on an ARM processor without the floating-point coprocessor), but I don't claim that now is the time to start work on such a thing. I'm relaying an icecast1 mp3 stream with icecast2. This works fine, and the song title is displayed correctly no matter if I use <relay-shoutcast-metadata>1</> or not on the relay. Hello all Icecasters! I'm using icecast 1.3.12 and iceS 0.2.3 (with a self-made patch for VBR MP3, and an extensive Perl script for automatisation) to stream radio. Works great! I've tried to understand everything about MP3/OGG and Icecast and since I'm a stupid person I need to draw things all the time ;) - so I need you to tell me if I've misunderstood anything in this scheme:

Great job! I'm considering converting all my mp3 files to Vorbis format. Only examples/encoder_example is a bit too simplistic (of course, being an example), and the cmdline tools aren't ready. I encode my mp3 files at 96 kbit/s, because that's enough for me. Will Vorbis do well at this rate? Any quick hacks I can make to examples/encoder_example.c? Perhaps Vorbis is of interest
