Fixing ogg vorbis corruption caused by bad metadata
...seq.kfish.org/~conrad/tmp/484 These pass oggz-validate without warnings about the headers, and have the Vorbis headers intact (including large COVERART). However in the ripped version the codebooks are not visible to libogg, so something else is corrupt there. For the reconstructed versions: the -nocomments.ogg version was then run through "oggz-comment -d" to remove all comments, in case the large COVERART was causing a problem. However ogginfo still reports the following errors: $ ogginfo 484-hogg-reconstructed-nocomments.ogg |head Processing file "484-hogg-reconstructed-nocomm...

copying comments from one ogg file to another
...cond. i had hoped ogginfo could do this, or else oggenc, but they cannot. (see my previous email "downsampling/pealing bitrate from file1.ogg to file2.ogg", where i complain about oggenc not being able to modify ogg input.) i suppose my suggestion would be: ogginfo -i comments.ogg nocomments.ogg oggenc -i comments.ogg input.wav where -i (and --iherit) stand for 'inherit comments from', taking all unspecified comment tags from that input (so `oggenc -i comments.ogg -l "new album" input.wav` would have the same comments as the comments.ogg file except with th...

Xen locks down on specific server after 1-3 days
...em to respond. After a reset I noticed the logs full of BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 11s! [sshd:..] (see attached log file). At that time I had hoped it was a fluke (despite the fact that my logic was yelling otherwise). The config file of that time is attached as xend-config.sxp (or the nocomment one). After this incident I went with installing the windows directly on the machine. All seemed fine till another 2 days (or so) passed and it locked up again this time without any log entries. After another few lockups (without any log entries) and desperate config changes (memory relate...

Manpages
Here is patch with manpages for ogg123(1), mp3tovorbis(1) and vorbize(1). Manpages are in pod format, because it is the most readable man source, and are compiled by pod2man. all and clean for man/ work. Install and uninstall for man/ seem to work. Manpages are GPLed of course.

text/plain attachment: manpages.diff
-------------- next part
