Errr... you mean Red Hat released a security update (see
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2016-0695.html), and CentOS
rebuilt and released it.
What, exactly, would you like the CentOS maintainers to do
differently? Are you volunteering your time to help?

The reason behind this is the missing patch referenced by Johnny's posting that you referenced in a follow-up.
What I would really like to see, talking about SIGs and such, is an rpm for palemoon, but I fear it can't be done on C5. Even C6 only

I don't know, but that's why I use MATE.
I get acceptable performance on my T410 thinkpad with 4GB of memory and
outstanding performance on my home built desktop with 16GB of memory.
The T410 has been upgraded with an Intel SSD.
Gnome3 on the Thinkpad was just painful.

Centos replaced well-running customise Firefox with version ESR 45.1.0
* All the add-ons (language dictionaries, Adblock Plus, Classic Theme
Restorer etc.) were disabled with no simple method of reactivating them.
Reason given was they were "unsigned".
* About:config
xpinstall.signatures.required = false
partially reduced the problem.
* Then possible to reactivate some disabled

S4 : dumpMethod
Hi the list,
I almost finished the green book (chapter 7 and 8 on S4), this is
probably one of my last question :-)
I hope you will not miss them to much !
Here is my today nighmare: I do not manage to use dumpMethod :
setClass("A",representation(a="numeric"))
setMethod("plot","A",function(x,y,...){cat("AAAAA\n")})
dumpMethod("plot","A",file="")
#setMethod("plot", "A",
#NULL

[RFC PATCH v3 0/3] Enable virtio_net to act as a backup for a passthru device
...stuck with this ugly thing forever...
Could you at least make some common code that is shared in between
netvsc and virtio_net so this is handled in exacly the same way in both?
The fact that the netvsc/virtio_net kidnaps a netdev only because it
has the same mac is going to give me some serious nighmares...
I think we need to introduce some more strict checks.

My story installing Samba-LDAP PDC (it has a happy ending)
OK.
I am starting to believe that Samba 3.0.x is not stable.
At least, the documentation for Samba as PDC with OpenLDAP backend (which is
what I have been trying to do for four days) is crap.
All the documentation for 3.0.x is mixed with 2.2.x. Most documents start as
instructions for 3.0.x but put a lot of information that doesn't apply to
3.0.x, but 2.2.x.
