My plan was to fix them all, then move each warning to W=0.
Arnd recently submitted a set doing just that for a bunch of them.

The next question is, how do we keep it W=1 clean going forward?
Most people don't use W=1 because it's too noisy, so it's a bit of a
catch-22.
In i915, we enable a lot of W=1 warnings using subdir-ccflags-y in our
Makefile. For CI/developer use we also enable kernel...

How to fully remove entries to dead windows server
...e replicate across
instantly, although showrepl throws up some odd errors on DC1 (below)).
My question though is what steps should I take to ensure that I completely
remove all entries to the dead windows server? I wasn't able to demote it
before it died and I don't want loose ends causing niggly problems in the
future.
Many thanks, Peter
P.S. Why does it say it failed replication, while also saying the last
success was exactly the same time as the last failure?

In the end, for me, it was a tradeoff between the flexibility of spandsp vs
these niggly little problems, and if you do the math, in my case it's only
3% of fax machines exhibit the corruption problem, so it was worth it to do
this workaround and train the office gopher to check the "real" fax machine
every couple of days.
FWIW, I did a back-of-napkin calculation using...

Is this still true? Is there anything I can do without having an
intimate knowledge of Samba internals? Is there anyone I could pay to
have this implemented?

Hi,
I can added laser printers to the Samba share. But can't seem to find a way
to add color profiles for color laser printers to Samba. Would someone
please give me a few pointers?

why do text_fields appear smaller in IE than other browsers?
...but saying that IE is (unfortunately) the most
widely used browser, I should make things look nice on it. If I make
things bigger to sit nice in IE then they will be too big and look
really silly in IE and Firefox.
As I say, in the grand scheme of things, not a major problem, just a
cosmetic niggly annoyance! If someone has a solution I''d be very
grateful.

NIS+ support in samba-2.0.5a
Hi all,
I'm a little confused over what exactly the NISPLUS and NISPLUS_HOME
support options actually mean. I'm hoping somebody can shed a little
light on this.
Our main samba server is a Solaris 2.7 machine (using NIS+ for
passwords, etc, etc.) running samba 2.0.5a. I have recently been
investigating a problem where, after a reboot of the server, various
3rd party products (POP, IMAP,

Sieve was installed but doesn't work or log
Hello everyone.
I have dovecot version 1.2.8 installed from source. This morning I
installed the sieve plugin to sort emails, and though the install
reported no errors, the plugin doesn't seem to function, and no mention
of it is made in the logs when I turn on verbose logging.

VoIP dialtone?
Hi all,
While pondering my choices for local dial tone service via a
bunch of POTS lines or a T1, I began to wonder if perhaps there
is another way.
Are there VoIP dialtone providers? That is, could I use only my
internet connection for voice calls and not have a separate
T1/POTS bank for that?
I guess I am imagining a company that gateways between the PTSN
and the internet backbone.
