nfas on T400P?
Can T400P be configured for nfas (one d-channel providing signaling for more than one span)? Thank you. Alex Zarubin -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20030522/f2b637a9/attachment.htm

Working NFAS config w 411p anyone?
Does anyone have a working NFAS config for Zapata and zaptel for 2 NFAS trunks? First two DS1s on tg 1 and other two on tg2? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20050825/95961694/attachment.htm

Please Help Test Quad PRI Using NFAS
Please help me test my setup by dialing 800.564.0215 and listen to the queue for a bit. I have a quad port T1 with NFAS setup. I can dial-out but I cannot dial any 800 numbers (Global Crossing says I need LDS service and that will be a couple weeks) so I cant test it myself. I need at least 24 callers to feel comfortable enough that it is working properly. Thanks, Steve Totaro

NFAS Not Passing Audio on B-chan 48,72,96
I have NFAS setup on several quad port T1 cards (Sangoma). It mostly works well with the exception that calls coming in on channels 48,72, and 96 have no audio. I tried removing these channels from zapata.conf with hopes that the channels would not come up or be used. Now I get "Ring requested on u...

Multiple Digium cards with one NFAS trunkgroup
Hi list, Ive got a server with 6 ports on it (4+2 port card) we have a DS3 delivering all voice DS1's to us. Carrier has a trunkgroup for the first 8 span (we only have the first 6 plugged in right now). Everything works fine until we fail the primary D channel (D's are on 24,48) the secondary then picks up and outbound calls do not work, if we reboot Asterisk the D on 48 comes up and it

Two questions for Asterisk setup (Definity G3R and NFAS Trunk Gro ups)
Hi, I'm a lab manager / supervisor at our labs. We've had Asterisk in use for over a year directly hooked to the PSTN - a no brainer for configuration (although I had to fix some AT&T specific things in libpri). Right now I have two big challenges. One is to hook our box up lineside to a Lucent Definity G3R. Avaya is chasing this from their end, but we had the highest level of

E100P without q931?
Hi, does anyone know if its feasible to run asterisk with a PRI card but not run any q931 signalling.. basically push calls down the PRI and tell asterisk in some other way to pickup a particular Zap channel? Steve

T3 Mux and Asterisk Question
I have a T3 coming from my carrier. From there I want to use an Adtran mx2800 T1 Mux to break the T3 into 28 T1/PRI which feed into seven quad T1/PRI equipped servers. Everything seems very straight forward with the exception of the D channels for the T1/PRI. I am not very familiar with large circuits such as T3s. I know that I can use one D channel per set of quad port on each server. So if

chan_dahdi.conf parser question
...ives an unexpected result. Can someone help me understand the chan_dahdi.conf parser that would explain this? Based on the config below, Channels 1-23 are assigned to the context inbound-pri, and Channels 25-47 are assigned to the context outbound-pri. As expected. [trunkgroups] ; We do not do NFAS at this time [channels] echocancel = yes switchtype = national context = outbound-pri signalling = pri_net group = 2 channel => 25-47 context = inbound-pri signalling = pri_cpe group = 1 channel => 1-23 HOWEVER when I simply reverse the order of the channels on the last few lines like s...

Dual PRI fail over
I currently have a single PRI however we are getting a second PRI, and the provider (qwest) wants to know if our PBX supports GSAS (they say its a redundant d-channel technology but searching on google for GSAS reveals less than nothing). I've set something similar up before on a cisco 5350, where if one of the PRIs fails, all of the calls destined for either PRI will be routed down the one

Problem making outbound calls on TE210P using NFAS
Hello, I'm running Asterisk@home 2.5 asterisk 1.2.4 zapatel 1.2.2 libpri 1.2.2 on a Dell Poweredge 2850 (1 CPU) with a TE210P I have 2 t1 circuits using NFAS with dchan on 24 and no backup dchan. I am able to receive inbound calls on all channels and can only make outbound calls on channels 25-48. Attempting to make an outbound call on channels 1-23 results in congestion. --------------------------- [/etc/zaptel.conf] # Span 1: TE2/0/1 "T2XXP (P...

Multi-SPAN (4xE1) Zap Group (Outbound)
...; on all 4 spans. Another suggestions says it is possible to have these unique groups (1-4) and to combine all 4 into a single group "5". I like the second suggestion best. Can you guide me to the correct changes for my current zapata.conf? The 4 spans are stand alone E1/PRI trunks (Not NFAS). The CURRENT channel and group statements are: ;Span 1 group=1 channel => 1-15,17-31 ;Span 2 group=2 channel => 32-46,48-62 ;Span 3 group=3 channel => 63-77,79-93 ;Span 4 group=4 channel => 94-103,110-124 Thanks, ..mike..

ISDN PRI No Audio
Our setup: We have a DS3 from Global Crossing terminating into a Adtran MX2800 M13 mux. From there, groups of 4 T1's run into T410P digium cards to 7 individual servers. Each trunk is configured as ISDN PRI, B8ZS/ESF, D-channel being chan 96 with B-channels of 1-95 (we're using NFAS). The D channel is up and there are no alarms. We see the connection on the console from the incoming user as seen below, if the user hangs up it disconnects properly, we can also do a zap destroy and disconnect the user. It seems that bi-directional communication is alright. We were runni...

Multiple E1 configuration question
Hi all- This question is for those familiar with EuroISDN setup. I have a customer in Europe where I'm going to install an asterisk based system with 4 E1's. The customer will configure them all in one large hunt group. My question is about the E1 channel configuration. I know that usually single E1 spans are set up with 30 channels (1-15 and 17-31) as the voice (bearer) channels and

My system.conf looks like this: # Span 1: TE4/0/1 "T4XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 1" B8ZS/ESF RED span=1,2,0,esf,b8zs bchan=1-24 # Span 2: TE4/0/2 "T4XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 2" (MASTER) B8ZS/ESF RED span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs bchan=25-47 dchan=48 These are suppose to be configured with NFAS (Non-Facilities Associated Signaling) so 1 d channels manages all the b channels in both spans. I can't seem to get it out of alarm RED, asterisk running or not doesn't make a difference. cat /proc/dahdi/1*;cat /proc/dahdi/2* Span 1: TE4/0/1 "T4XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 1" B8ZS/ESF...

Is there a product to simulate a PRI trunk?
Does anyone know of a way to simulate the signaling of a PRI trunk for testing/setup purposes? I realize this may be a rather naive question, but I was wondering if you could take a TE110, for example, and using a crossover cable (or not?) and some means of emulating the NI2 signaling protocol connect it to another TE110 on another machine to test and verify an installation before the telco

ISDN Cause Code 47 Errors
...with an ISDN cause code 47 'resource unavailble'. Most of the time I see this error on the first or second channel on the second span in a trunk group (This is the providers trunk group for hunting, not an Asterisk trunk group). All the PRIs are setup as individual spans, we are not using NFAS. If the provider sets the hunt method to 'least recently used channel', then I can receive calls on other channels on the secondary span, it is just the first 2 that consistently fail. We have had occasion where the error occurs on first span. If enough calls come in at the same time, call...

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone, So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the asterisk, but
