[LLVMdev] void llvm::PATypeHolder::addRef(): Assertion `Ty && "Type Holder has a null type!"' failed.
Hi, I am using current SVN and in the last week or so, something causing the following assertion failure has changed. void llvm::PATypeHolder::addRef(): Assertion `Ty && "Type Holder has a null type!"' failed. The corresponding stack trace is: #0 0x000000339ec332f5 in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #1 0x000000339ec34b20 in abort () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #2

Custom type
Hi. I have a small problem with the custom type I am working on. I define method ''evaluate'' which is called after all data is been collected. Here it is: module Puppet newtype(:test) do newparam(:name) do end newparam(:listen) do defaultto "silent" end def evaluate puts "evaluating..." return super.evaluate end

R-alpha: More problems with R0.50.a1
More problems... 1) when -lf2c is used for linking as in the standard Makefile in src/main, it does not include the library as shown by ldd on my slackware linux 2.0.29 but does on RedHat linux 2.0.27. But with slackware adding the -L/usr/lib just before -lf2c does include it. On the other hand readline in the same directory is included both times. (We need the f2c library for complex numbers in

help writing types/provider
I''ve almost finished a pretty simple type/provider to manage RabbitMQ users and virtual hosts. I''m using the ''ensurable'' keyword in my type to save a bit of boilerplate. Type is below (the provider is just a wrapper around the ''rabbitmqctl'' command. Have a feeling there''s a developer guide somewhere I haven''t found (been

[PATCH 1/6] Convert config file to XML, and translate networks/bridge for all connections
Previously, only the LibVirtXML connection translated network and bridge names in imported metadata. This change moves this functionality in Converter, making it available to LibVirt connections as well. At the same time, the format of the config file is switched to XML. The primary driver for this is that the allowable syntax of a foreign network/bridge name is not known. Rather than create a

Parsechecking in a commit hook
This has been a much-requested feature, and is now a reality (in svn trunk): There is a new option, --ignoreimport, that will (surprisingly) ignore import statements. This is really only useful when using -- parseonly in a commit hook, and note that you''ll have to add the option to --parseonly, none of the puppet executables will add it for you. You should be able to

[LLVMdev] Problems when refining type
Hi I'm using the llvm-c wrapper, and trying to build some recursive types (using released 2.3). I get an assert on trying to create a second opaque pointer type after refining a first. The first time through creating an opaque pointer type, a new type is created and returned from PointerType::get, but the second time, ValueType (the opaque type) is found in the PointerTypes map, which seems

c(NA, 0+1i) not the same as c(as.complex(NA), 0+1i)?
Thanks Martin. My hang-up was not on what the outcome of as.complex(NA) should be, but rather, how I should read code like c(x, y) generally. Till now, I have thought of it like 'c(x, y)' is c(as(x, typeof(y)), y)` when "type(y) > type(x)". Basically in my mind, "coercion" in R <-> as.<newtype>(.) (or coerceVector() in C). So I tracked down the source

Custom Type & Invalid Parameter...
Hi All As per my various other Posts, I''m writing a customer type and provider set for NetApp support.. My current problem is that the ''puppet device -v'' run keeps failing with: Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: > Invalid parameter aggregate at /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp:30 on node > actint-star-nactl01 > Now

Writing a properly-formed custom type (configxml)
Please hold my hand. After studying the wiki, several unofficial pages, various mailing list entries, and the operation of the "iptables" type as found on the net, I have created a custom type, lovingly named ``configxml''''. It updates attributes on the first element matching a supplied XPath in a given XML file. The first use case is configuring Atlassian JIRA to use

username/password combo for custom provider (couchbase)
Hi, I''m trying to program custom type for managing Couchbase buckets. Problem is that every RW operation to Couchbase cluster (creating, deleting, resizing bucket) requires admin privileges (username/password). Do you have any suggestion how should I pass the username/password to provider? If I make it a param, then every resource of type ''couchbucket'' will need to

c(NA, 0+1i) not the same as c(as.complex(NA), 0+1i)?
So, to summarize, the open questions are: (1) Should as.complex(NA_character_) give complex(r=NA_real_, i=0) instead of NA_complex_? (2) Should the first argument in c(NA, x) and c(NA_integer_, x), where typeof(x) == "complex", be promoted to complex(r=NA_real_, i=0) instead of NA_complex_? My opinions: (1) No. The imaginary part of the

Parity between native types and defined types
I want to create native types (despite that fact that apparently nobody wants to) to manage a variety of resources under a common namespace. However, I can''t seem to get the namespacing going right. With a defined type, I can do this: define backup_ninja::config(blah, baz) { ... } But that''s not much use to me, as a defined type just isn''t going to cut the mustard
