replication of a big mailbox
I'm running dovecots replicator successfully on 33 mailboxes. There is
only one mailbox (the biggest one, 167000 mails) that is not replicating
successfully.
After 10 minutes the "source" starts logging these messages:
dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com): Error: dsync(imap.netsend.nl):
I/O has stalled, no activity for 600 seconds
dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com): Error: Timeout during

POST with huge HTTP body
Hi,
I found the following page describing how to stream data from the
server to the client:
http://api.rubyonrails.com/classes/ActionController/Streaming.html
I want to do the opposite, streaming data from the client to the server,
letting the controller saving the data while it''s being received.
In particular, I want to upload large files to the RailsDav

...sconnect on request_begins. I tried
passing in the socket into request_begins as a second parameter
but I don''t like to mess with the mongrel sources and rather keep
everything in the plugin.
I made a small writeup on my blog where you can also download the
plugin as a gem: http://slasaus.netsend.nl/articles/show/7
The solutions should get more user friendly by aborting the
upload from the client''s perspective too, but at least it already
prevents full hard disks ;-)

Blocking internet access to Samba
My samba.smbd log shows multiple entries such as:
[2002/10/30 10:30:04, 0] lib/access.c:check_access(323)
Denied connection from (211.163.100.141)
They show up about every five minutes and are from a few different IP addresses
I thought that my iptables configuration would block connection attempts from the
internet - is that what these are?
My LAN ip range is 192.168.0.x

serious networking (em) performance (ggate and NFS) problem
Dear best guys,
I really love 5.3 in many ways but here're some unbelievable transfer rates,
after I went out and bought a pair of Intel GigaBit Ethernet Cards to solve
my performance problem (*laugh*):
(In short, see *** below)
Tests were done with two Intel GigaBit Ethernet cards (82547EI, 32bit PCI
Desktop adapter MT) connected directly without a switch/hub and "device
