isdn4linux, NETjet, chan_modem help needed
I'm trying to get a basic Asterisk configuration together for ISDN incoming / outgoing calls. I have two Cisco 7905g phones working (at least talking to each other) and have purchased a NETjet-S PCI ISDN card for routing calls to / from ISDN. The state I've managed to get it to is:- -- Executing Ringing("SIP/PHONE2-d557", "") in new stack -- Executing Dial("SIP/PHONE2-d557", "Modem/ttyI0:v0413xxxxxx") in new stack -- Call...

NetJet and RAS
...alia, so as I understand it, we aren't allowed to use the Zaptel cards. We need to set up our system to route incoming 56K data calls to the PPP daemon on our Linux box or to our Windows 2003 server. I noticed the zapras application - is there any way to achieve this functionality using the NetJet card? What other solutions might exist for us? (I really would rather use VoIP than a silly PBX...) Does anyone have a working config I could look at for even one card (tried that, not much luck either). When i dial out: -- Accepting AUTHENTICATED call from 172.16.11.2, requested for...

Asterisk + NetJet (ISDN4Linux)
Well, it has been a long time since I used my NetJet S cards with asterisk (moved to the quad PRI card) but I am trying to get this working again for home use. DTMF Tones During Call
Hi, I am receiving calls via a Netjet-S card on asterisk, and I notice that whenever I am talkimng to someone, if their voice is loud enough, sometimes asterisk generates a DTMF Tone as they speak. that is played to me. (Caller doesn't hear it). Any ideas how to stop this?

PABX & VOIP Gateway
...int I would prefer not to purchase a hardware-based VOIP gateway. I would prefer to use a software-based gateway for research & testing purposes. Could anyone please describe a simple setup? Naturally the connection to the gateway would have to be Austel approved. I have seen references to the Netjet ISDN cards? I am having difficulties in finding information with regards to Austel compliance. Has anyone had experiences with such setups? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

ISDN Cards available in Australia
...'ve noticed the AVM cards should work well here, however I've found the reseller here has no website, is listed in Yellow pages as management consultants (??) and when I called quoted almost $400. Does anyone know where I can get the AVMs in Australia a bit cheaper or another card (not the Netjet) that works with Asterisk. Regards, Kimble.

no audio using isdn4linux channel
...n using my subscribed address... Apologies to the moderators... --- Hi All, I've successfully got SIP and IAX2 working on Asterisk using X-Lite as a SIP phone and talking to a remote Asterisk over IAX2 using G729. I'm now trying to get an ISDN BRI connection working. I have a Traverse NetJet card (http://www.traverse.com.au/) which I currently have working with isdn4linux (that's how I'm connecting to the Net). I found the a message in the archives (http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/msg32072.html) that says audio support is needed in the hisax driver...

Australian Options
...rt would need to connect to a channel bank which in turn would connect to the telco plus extensions, therefore we are back to the same situation as with analog lines above. So, really, are there any decent solutions for asterisk use in Australia? PS, currently I am using the TDM400B plus Traverse Netjet ISDN with I4L, but this doesn't seem suitable quality for re-sale. minimum system hardware for Asterisk install
Looking at installing Asterisk and have not been able to find any info on "minimum" or "recommend" system hardware. I have a box P200MMX 128mb 4.5gb HDD which is running Redhat 8.0 fine. Noticing on the Digium web site it mentions that the single fxo card (Wildcard X100P) requires a minimum pIII 500. Is my intended box going to be too slow? My application is a small level,

isdn, modem, etc.
I see many posts about using ISDN cards and modem cards. Does this mean I can use a regular modem (that supports voice) as an FXS, or FXO ? If so, can you provide an example. It might be the easiest way to test Asterisk's collaboration with the PSTN (or analog phones) and provide proof of concept to non-believers. Thanks. Shoval -------------- next part
