Can i use a domain name instead of an IP address for externip (sip.conf) Because im using dynamic dns. Not sure what i'm trying to achieve as yet but, i want to know if it is possible?

I am curious partly because it has occurred randomly in my asterisk system. How does one go about creating a .call file for placing a call between two extensions/phones? I know this has been mentioned and is probably in one of the wikis somewhere, but I am unsure exactally how to go about doing it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Dan

I've noticed a growing number of stores using FRS radios. It would make sense to interface (via soundcard/console driver, with the nessacary electrical conversion) a VOX FRS radio to asterisk to allow someone in the office to page/talk with people on the floor or warehouse.
