Nerdvittle's Reminders and Zaptel
I am attempting to implement Nerdvittle's Call Reminders on my * 1.2.12.1 PBX. It has 8 Zaptel trunks provided by 2 Digium TDM400P cards. If I use the call reminders internally, it works flawlessly. The problem happens when I set the call-back number to an external number so that the call goes out the Zaptel trunk. The reminder message starts playing before the person being called picks up

agi+cepstral driving me nuts
I just got cepstal working fine in the dial plan using code like: exten => 511,5,AGI(cepstral.pl|Welcome to my house finder. At the beep enter your zip code.) The php script it calls is based on the nerdvittles weather one so it calls a webpage which prints to the screen, the nerdvittles code uses system to generate the .wav file then has the dial plan call it via: //php script $retcode2 = system ("flite -f $tmptext -o $tmpwave") ; //extensions exten => 411,9,NoOp(Wave file: ${TMPWAVE}) ex...

Streaming MoH on 1.4
Hi, I've looked high and low for any changes that streaming MoH needs on Asterisk 1.4 (.21), followed NerdVittle's article about it (http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=92) yet nothing worked. After creating dir stream/ and touch stream.mp3, here's my musiconhold.conf [stream] mode=mp3 directory=/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/stream stream => quietmp3:/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/stream,http://wbez-sclo.streamguys.us/ ;application=/usr/bin/mpg123 -...

Home use of asterisk
I have found many neat scripts for my home asterisk on the wiki and elsewhere - and we really like it. But there are a couple of things I'd still like to find. And if anyone has some favorites that think think are great for a home with 2 adults and 3 kids (4 phones) & 2 cell phones I'd like to hear about them also. What I'd like to find are some scripts that i could modify

Solution for 1 time blast of 200, 000 recorded calls
...t about 200,000 calls with a short message from the candidate. Provider: I'm thinking voipjet may be a good solution? Hardware setup: I will have access to several T-1 lines so I would just want to set up the dialers to limit the number of concurrent calls and so forth. I found teleyapper on nerdvittles: http://mundy.org/blog/index.php But I'm not sure that this actually does concurrent calls. I'm thinking my best bet is writing some fast agi to parse a mysql database, then create call files. Use asterisk manager interface to monitor calls and that way I can keep the preset concurrent lim...

Proximity Detection: Motorola Q + Bluetooth + Asterisk
Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Motorola Q has its Bluetooth always on like the IPhone? I want to use the Motorola Q in a Proximity Detection setup like that described on nerdvittles.com. I know the Treo 650 does not work well since the display must be on for the bluetooth to be on and this eats power. Thanks Chuck Bunn

I know this is not the answer you are looking for but the standalone ATA's are not very expensive and there is http://nerdvittles.com/ to help you get going. This guy gives you various Centos, Debian, raspberry pi based iso's and other cookbooks to easily build your own PBX. The good news is most of it "just works" as long as you understand the terminology. I have had good luck with the Obihai 202 ATA. Never co...

OT - Chan-mobile -Bluetooth dongle on remote LAN workstation
Hello, On a LAN, is it possible to install a bluetooth dongle on one workstation (at this time, this workstation OS is not specified) and use it with chan_mobile ? I've read some USB over IP (or Ethernet) middleware exist but I'm not certain I'm looking at the right direction. Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Problem between Asterisk and an Aastra 57i
Hi, I'm currently trying to connect an Aastra 57i to our Asterisk Server. The strange thing is, that altough I have definitely entered the correct IP address of the server, the phone doesn't even attempt to register. Here is the configuration file (local.cfg) of the phone: firmware md5: dee6e938b469e217a87138076f47fe41 boot count: 1 tone set: Germany language 1: German time server1:

asteriskathome maximun channels per trunk
I'm using asteriskathome 2.5. I'm using 2 spa3000 for dialing-out. I configured a trunk for each one with maximun channels=1 and an outbound route that includes both trunks. When a second outgoing call is placed, Asterisk tries to place it in the same that is already in use resulting in a busy tone. ?What can be the problem? -- Alejandro Vargas

Zaptel and 2.6.9-34.0.1.EL Kernel on CentOS
Has anyone been able to compile Zaptel after upgrading to 2.6.9-34.0.1.ELkernel? I'm running CentOS and was unable to recompile Zaptel. I reverted back to 2.6.9-22.0.1.EL but even then Zaptel would fail to load. I tried pulling the latest zaptel sources from digium cvs, but they apparently don't have a record in dns for cvs.digium.com. I did download zaptel-1.2.5.tar.gzand recompiled then
