System ACL and Samba ACL
...??user(lw) can enter /Example(folder) / ITD(folder) and do everything(rwx) in LW(folder). And other user can't enter /Example(folder) / ITD(folder) because no 'x' permittion besides ITD group. but when I shared /Example(folder) in samba4 with rw?writable??after login(user lw ) by Windows Neibourhood(Windows xp), I can't enter Example(folder) / ITD(folder)? I guest Samb has check ITD has only 'r' for other ,so 'ITD' group should have only 'r' and give up 'x' . Maye I am Wrong with something? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Mounting NT File System from a IRIX machine.
Hello Everybody ! We have a LAN network consisting mostly of Win NT machines, with a couple of Win 95 boxes and a IRIX-based Samba server. Is there a way that i can mount the file system of a NT box onto my IRIX box ? Can i write directly to a NT box from IRIX box ? Do i require NFS for that ? Thanks in advance ! Samba problems after intalling ncpfs
...work after installing ncfs. I have Samba 1.9.18p10 and ncpfs 2.0.10. I've succesfully installed ncpfs. After that I check it by "slist" and get my Novell server. I mount Novell volume by ncpmount - all ok. But after that my Samba doesn't work. I can see Samba/Linux box in Network neibourhood with correct title "Linux Samba server" but coudn't log in. Win98 says that this host unreachable. I have kernel 2.0.35 and wasn't any need to recompile. I've just untar ncpfs-2.0.10.tgz then run "make" then "make install". Ok, no any errors. After that ena...

I want to know more about a problem the Samba developers solved it long time ago. I'm ready to learn by myself if someone help me with some lin...

...roblems, but it ended with 'unable to change to the specified driver, original settings will be restored'. SO I have again "no driver avalaible..." If I do rpclient ..."enumdrivers" I can see my new HP2000c driver present on the samba server! If I again go to the network neibourhood etc. I can see for the HP2000c properties still "no driver available..." but now I can see in the driver menu that the HP2000c driver is present, if I try to assign this driver to my printer again everything seems to be OK but it ended with 'unable to change to the specified driver, o...
